Where to sleep in London?, by jackstranger on Sept 1, 2010 0:07:59 GMT 1, I have been in London before, but I think this is a great thread for travelers to London. It would be great to see the replies in the thread and not in PM

Paddington has lots of cheap hotels. Or if you got money go for hyde park. Best to do a quick search on net.

Where to sleep in London?, by owenluck on Sept 11, 2010 12:55:25 GMT 1, You should do Gallery 90, Graffik and go down brick lane. With Brick Lane start at the bottom near aldgate and go into the truman brewery area. You find lots of treats around there. POW is also near there. On a thursday get off at old street and head back towards brick lane, take the side streets and there are loads of things going on. Leak st is under waterloo river side always a good place to have a look. Not so much in camden unless you want to see some bloke thinking punk is happening know but good bars and clubs. Soho you got art republic ect. Art republic is in a little street called new compton street, not old compton street (full of queens). Basically get a travel card and e prepared to walk. There loads to see and I would tell you were Banksy studio is located, but you will have to hunt for that yourself! its close to a railway line!! Enjoy! and dont stand in the middle of tube exit, train exits and on the pavements taking up all the room (lol). Have a good one!

Where to sleep in London?, by smallbylo on Mar 9, 2011 19:28:50 GMT 1, HI there! I'm finally travelling to London tomorrow (twenty years after!!) and now that I'm printing all the info, maps, etc... I notice how difficult is to take a good directory of the urban art galleries... I did a google map but is soo difficult for me to print and point every dot to its good address...
Does anyone had done a beautiful and printable list, pdf map or similar or knows where I can get one ?
maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=215663979560901697970.000475d825026cb5df0ac&t=h&z=12
Beside that, I'm not going to miss the Elbow toe opening at BRP, nor Annie Lennox singing at Southbank... anything else will be a surprise mainly related to walking (is cold out there?). Ideas welcomed.
Memory card empty to take photos of Blu, Banksy, Eine... my beloved Scary! .. Little money saved for artextras... Hoping to see Shrigley pieces at museums and galleries... oh, wow... Can you understand how excited I am? Thanks for all the tips, advices, and good vibes..
