the seller had the wrong size in the description but he's corrected it now

53cm x 84cm is correct. Earlier size read 60cm x 80cm.

Looks good now.  GLWS!!!!

I've got a Banksy Parliament poster that I had picked up from a trader right after they were released at the Bristol museum. It's got all the exact measurements and in good shape. Been in a folder for some time now. The problem is I don't have provenance or proof of how I got it at this point but its legit. I haven't tried to sell it because I figured without provenance people wouldn't be interested. I should probably just frame it. I'd be open to sell it but again don't have any paperwork for it.

lobio maybe clarify what poster you're discussing a bit more as I think you're wanting to discuss the Bristol Museum poster, but you're using the title of a different piece.

Monkey Parliament was a poster released in 2009 during his Banksy v. Bristol Museum Show. This was a true poster and authorized by Banksy and the Bristol Museum and featured the image of his original painting.

Devolved Parliament is the reworking of the original Monkey Parliament. This fold-out poster was featured in a Sotheby's Contempoary Art auction catalogue from 2019. The main difference between this image on the original, was that the lights in Parliament were painted out and a banana held by a chimp in the right/middle foreground was changed.

Tate Ward had one in Nov. It wasn’t sold.

I don't know if I'm really in the right place here. I am new to the forum and registered especially for this request. 
I'm from Germany and I'm not always perfect in English, so please excuse me if one or two things are not so perfectly formulated or written.


Two days ago I stumbled across a "Banksy - Monkey Parliament Poster" by chance. 
I was in my local second-hand bookshop and was actually looking for books. 
Here, the antiquarian bookshop is often fed by quite high-quality liquidations of flats or inheritances, parts of which are handed over to the antiquarian bookshop. The town here is a health resort, the average age is very high and the density of wealthy people even higher 😅. But that ensures that you can find some really cool pieces here from time to time. In this very antiquarian bookshop, I stumbled across an old folder..
It contained several prints and posters - at first glance I would describe it as a collection of exhibition posters. The posters/prints come from a wide variety of European museums, from Berlin to Barcelona, almost everything is represented. And right in between there was also a Monkey Parlemiant poster. 
I don't really want to trust the whole thing. Therefore, I would like to check the whole thing somehow.
I am looking for someone who can help me "verify" the poster or "compare" it with his original poster. 
The antiquarian's statement about the origin of the portfolio and its deceased owner sound plausible and would speak for authenticity. Most of the posters in the folder have receipts or museum cards attached. The Monkey poster has a receipt from the museum shop in Bristol. But again, I have no idea if this is genuine or sufficient for definitive verification. 



If there is a helping hand, I would like to discuss everything further in personal messages.
I would welcome a corresponding level of confidentiality here. In this sense, I will also refrain from taking photos for this post for the time being. If the poster turns out to be genuine, I would be happy to compensate you accordingly.

Hi everyone, good to be back after what feel likes a lifetime!

Having been away from this forum for over a decade, I am offering my MP poster for sale. Until now stored and forgotten about until I saw how much these now sell for. Needs must.

I have the original "smarties" tube (aka hell tube) with the original label.

Mine is straight from the gift shop, in incredible condition, only taken out once and one of the rare few that was not brutalised by people who packaged them, so is the leaflet/guide and so are the mint postcards.

The three together make a great set / display and IMO help with authenticity.

I'll happily include a usb stick or SD card with photos I took the day I was there.

What else can I say, if that's not enough authenticity... have a go at Ebay fakes and good luck.

I haven't got the till receipt but frankly... who does?
