First Banksy - Advice Please, by kennas on Sept 17, 2010 9:48:45 GMT 1, I would have thought numbers 2-6 are easily within your price range (although haven't seen a VLH sell for a while). I would have placed Nola at £3.2k, just a fraction higher than you budget.
Follow the golden rules, ensure they have a PC COA and you should be fine.

First Banksy - Advice Please, by Deleted on Sept 17, 2010 10:03:19 GMT 1, Immerse yourself in this forum, plus the others that exist. That way you will get a good idea of what's out there, and what an acceptable price is. Always make sure it comes with a COA.
Get a feeling of who contributes to these forums, and what they have to say, and how trustworthy they are. It's a sad fact that whenever money is involved on this scale there are people out there wanting to remove you of it. Don't worry about being sceptical and asking questions.
If you do find something, try and meet up face-to-face to inspect the print.
Don't rush into anything. But above all beware - you have immediatley alerted any potential seller how much you've got. The advantage of starting things of online is that it is faceless. If you are not comfortable with haggling or speaking your mind to someone in person, you will find it is easy to do via a computer.
Take your time and you'll get what you're after and at the right price.
Good luck.

First Banksy - Advice Please, by kennas on Sept 17, 2010 10:25:02 GMT 1, Also if something 'feels' a bit wrong, it probably is. A trustworthy seller will have nothing to hide, a face to face exchange is always vastly preferable.

First Banksy - Advice Please, by stevieray101 on Sept 17, 2010 11:02:38 GMT 1, I agree with that the rest of the guys are saying.
Getting hold of a Nola for £3k is very hard at the moment and this is the price for a White one. You might have to increase you budget if you want to nab on of these.
For information this is what I reckon
No 1. Nola (white rain) - £3.2k No 2. Stop and Search - £2.1k No 3. No Ball Games (Grey) - £2.1k No 4. Very Little Helps - £2.3k No 5. Sepia Morons - £2.3k No 6. Donuts (Pink or Choco) - Pink £2k, Choco £1.8k

agree wiz which is what makes stevie ray's pricing on 2-5 a lil ambitious imho, vlh for example rarely comes up and the seller is usually looking for 2.5+ and I know at least 2 people who paid 3k+ for theirs.
the prints with less to the edition sizes and no colour variations will go on to achieve more in the very long term imo. I think from that list of 5 prints vlh and s&s will go on to be worth the most.
right anyone want to make me an offer on my vlh or s&s then

I'm with you there, having discussed a number of signed prints recently without going into specifics a price of £2.3k for VLH is lower than I could find.

I must admit, I thought the view on prices there was a little optimistic (from a buyer's point of view)...

First Banksy - Advice Please, by traceyuusmith on Sept 17, 2010 13:03:59 GMT 1, Great advice from everyone, and thanks to all for private PMs. It's interesting to find slight difference of opinion on some prints. Looks like Nola could be out of my range for now. Keep the advice coming and have a good weekend.

First Banksy - Advice Please, by hops on Sept 17, 2010 15:51:07 GMT 1, I think VLH has gone up quite a bit in the last 12 months with people realizing that there are only 299 out there and no other colorways.
Best of luck on your search!
