Nice New Piece by Nick Walker in NYC., by Hugs on Oct 22, 2008 9:25:36 GMT 1, Love him or hate him Nick has hit a new gear in the last 18 months and history will show him in the top 2 artists in this genre during these heady days. New York show eh, there's an idea Good work fella. That's one mighty sweet fine piece. Another great dig at his arch rival, as those who are savvy know who bit the old 'hands holding a frame stencil. Graff's always been about rivalry & 'getting up' and they're both still 'at it' big time so you can only doff your brim to the pair of them. Bristolians s**t it ;D
Good post mate, spot on ! Great piece by Bristol's finest.

Nice New Piece by Nick Walker in NYC., by timba82 on Oct 22, 2008 9:43:51 GMT 1, Piece looks great. One of his best I have seen however I see it as a pure and simple advert for an upcoming Bonham's auction on the 11th Nov where he has a few pieces. Lot 61, to be precise. The Morning After (New York), 2007 26 x 32in (66 x 81.3cm) Estimate: $40,000-60,000. And with that it looses its appeal to me.
I hear what you're saying but EVEYONE goes and paints something before a show of their own.
lets not act like its only NW. Banksy's huge rats before the pet shop opening for instance? its exactly the same scenario and free publicity at the end of the day.
good on him and why not?

If it's been done to promote his upcoming show - great and I agree with the coments above. If it's been done to promote his pieces in the upcoming Bonhams auction - pathetic and sad.

When and where is his show?
Thanks.

Disappointing that an advert gets (so far) well over 50 more replies than some amazing art by Eric The Dog painted for the love of it on this thread
Indeed

An EPIC piece of work by Mr. Walker. A financier rowing away from Wall Street with all his loot perhaps? Good social commentary.
It's hardly a blatant ad for an auction or show when there is neither is included as part of the work. Most people who view this piece won't even know who the artist is let alone be aware that someone is auctioning off his work or there may be a future show in NYC.
