Banksy 'Punk' Mural Defaced, by stickitup on Nov 3, 2009 14:50:02 GMT 1, graff is mostly about fame, but also has a number of rules and regulations and although banksy never said he was a graffiti writer (although this is where he started) the media love calling him one - which other writers do not like. i think he will always be the subject of crossing out and professional jelousy, however you have to recognise graffiti by its very nature is never meant to last, it depicts a moment in time which is transitory. if you want to see an untouched banksy buy a print or go to his next show.
