Erica il Cane @ FAME 010 !, by Studiocromie on Sept 23, 2010 9:34:15 GMT 1, all right, bad thing about Il cane is: he is the toughest to deal with when you have to define schedules and dates. doing 600 things at the same time he really can give you hard times to tell you when exactly he is coming and what he wants to do.
good things are:
he's the most talented skilled nicest friendliest coolest bestest glorious king of arts in the known and unknown world! he just needs to be there and start, then he'll kill it in very few hours one week here was enough to do two huge walls:
watercolors, drawings and ceramic plates for the show, plus, some insanely beautiful handcolored and massive screenprints which he painted directly on the screen (no film, no scanner, no photocopies and no damn computers involved)! i wont get much technical on this but i want you to know that, due to the very poor equipment we have at the studio he also had to paint in total darkness. we dont have a dark room with those red lights, we just have dark rooms here and he said he was fine painting there. now, it wasnt 100% dark but i swear i did not know where i was going in that room while he was painting and, as a bonus, this technic does not permit mistakes, every brushstroke he was doing could not be deleted or modified after. unbelievable.
watch to believe:
and now that he hates me 'cause he's in the video and he does not want to be shown on the net i have to throw you all off the track with a fake picture, here he is:
this guy here is the man behind the nom de guerre "Erica il Cane"
for the records... these walls were finished in one day and a half each, during these three days we ruined a family (one guy comes back from holiday and discover his whole family agreed on letting us paint their building while he HATES murals, so now he hates us and his family too) and we had to tear down another wall to get to the frog one, we had been told that the owner of that soil was living in northern italy and that he never comes here... we soon realized it wasnt really like that, with all the shit consequences, talking, cops, more talking
luckily we managed to convince him and his furious wife that we just had to do it and we didnt find them so we couldnt ask for their permission to destroy the little wall. which now is back in shape:
almost.
and so on and so on
two days to the opening, be there!
