Making sure I have enough cash to sort my cottage renovation. Found out yesterday the entire roof needs completely replacing. Some lovely pieces may have to go including my Slinkachu's. Trying to hold off selling my very best bits.

EBay flipping is frowned upon but you can pull stunts like this if it suits.

But this is on another level. I don't believe any circumstances had changed from this morning when we agreed the deal to this afternoon when greed kicked in.

Perhaps he shouldn't have offered it for 500 gbp then? A deals a deal in my book. Just because he miscalculated the market should not mean that he can back out without any consequences.

Given that he set the initial price based on the fact it is damaged I can only he assume that he considers the damage to be that significant to reduce his expectation by that amount. I might have got a great deal at a great price or the fact he agreed a deal so quickly might suggest he was happy with the price given the damage. It was my risk. Either way, we both agreed a deal that we were both happy with. Because others then pile in with offers without truly considering the damage or what it could lead to is neither here nor there. He was happy enough to agree a deal, if he thought he could have got more then he should have held off.
