My wife is a Muslim and loves this. Maybe I am seeing something different than others, but to me its a kick at the French Governments ban on Hijabs.
I think it was a decent street piece. I won't pass judgement on it as a print, until I see it with my own eyes.

I don't know why this particular image has prompted the vitriol it has. In my opinion, it had good placement when it was done on a wall. I bet if most of you saw this on a wall by your house, and didn't know who it was by, would be impressed.
It is also topical at the moment, or at least when it was done. I also think it is amusing. I know from experience of working in the Middle East that arab/muslim women tended to spend a lot of money on expensive clothes despite them being covered up in public. Their eye make-up was particularly striking when only their eyes were visible. Probably most surprising to me was the amount of sexy underwear available in the shops there. A lot even bordering on fetish! I also think, and it was mentioned in an earlier post, the a lot of muslims would find it funny. They do have a sense of humour, or at least most of the ones that I met do.
The cost of the print is the market value for Nick's work. If it doesn't sell out then maybe he and the galleries who sell his work would re-asses their pricing.
If you don't like it then fair enough, I like it because it makes me smile.

The price for this is too high imo regardless of Nicks "current market value" (which incidentally is governed by supply and demand and not a blanket "Going rate" for the Artists works), also the market is not as strong as it was remember, i know one person struggling to sell an original canvas for cost of his and i am struggling to get 400 for a print i paid 750 for direct from Nick, that is the reality of market value.

Saying that Nicks work to me has always looked better on the street than on paper (TMA series aside).
Also for me 600 odd quid is far too high! I read someone saying its market value for Nicks work?? Didnt he have his nozzle prints on his site for bloomin ages at 50 quid?? This should be 50 quid..... IMO of course.....
