Really atmospheric and some great great pieces there. What a venue too!
I was surprised at just how busy it was down there too, great to see so many people taking such an interest.
Loved the superb Micallef canvases as well as the Harrington pieces. The multi layered Yeo was genius and the Jenkins pieces freaked the hell out of me.
Genuinly liked 95% of the pieces on show.
Just got back from this show and I thought it was absolutely fantastic.

Don't know any other gallery in the world that takes as much time, thought, effort and dough as he puts into his shows.
Ian Francis' stuff looks stunning as usual. Connor is an amazing painter. Just wish he'd veer away from using soldiers in every piece he does. I think it's time to turn the page on that. That Micallef Insect/butterfly thingy looks f-ing brilliant.

My friend's shit scared of needles so I was confused when she was being drawn in by Insect's "beautiful" Object Desire like a moth to a light bulb. Needless to say a little panic attack ensued when she eventually realised. Big thanks to sacked for the tickets, gent.

I think they missed a trick by not making it more of a site specific piece. I felt it needed sound and movement, which is where the Old Vic could have contributed more. A couple of stewards in Old Vic sweatshirts, slumped on chairs just there for licensing purposes didn't really lend itself.
There are plenty of site specific theatre companies that could have been consulted to make this more of a performance, rather than a series of objects underground.
Don't get me wrong, the art was fantastic; but it could have been complimented by bringing in other people outside of the the Laz roster.

Loud barking dog when you enter Wiz and the Heretics Gate had some atmospheric music with it. Really nice that one.
Not sure I agree with the actors comment. That was done for Tunnel 228 and Laz was criticized in some quarters already for copying that show. For me this was differant and I really enjoyed it.

I think that was the fine mist of water with the big spotlight on it to make a rainbow. You must have walked under it at some point.

The dishes of moggots projected onto the screens in the room next to the bar was also by Insect I think.
