NEW BYROGLYPHICS WORK AT RED PROPELLER, by bunnyboy on Jul 8, 2008 23:02:17 GMT 1, I'm liking Violium a lot..I'm guessing the £0 price on Rhino means it's already gone?

NEW BYROGLYPHICS WORK AT RED PROPELLER, by low3 on Jul 8, 2008 23:59:42 GMT 1, Love them, but I can't bring myself to pay £95 for one.
Fair enough, i know its a larger print than the pre-propeller ones, and in the grand scheme of things it's fairly cheap in todays mad world of print pricing. But come on, we were all paying £15 for them just a couple of months ago, and i don't see how signing up with a gallery such as red propeller can justify such an increase.
Is it the gallery just trying to cash in?!

NEW BYROGLYPHICS WORK AT RED PROPELLER, by robinbanks on Jul 9, 2008 9:08:34 GMT 1, I think it's a reasonable price. Not only is it a much larger print, it is also of a much higher quality. The prints from Byroglyphics online store were fantastic for £15 but at the end of the day they were little more than signed print outs from a desktop printer.
I think these new ones fall more into the category of fine art prints. They're Giclee's, they're printed on museum quality archival paper, and they are a slightly smaller edition also (20 instead of 25). Those factors, coupled with the larger size are bound to increase the price considerably. Perhaps not all the way to £95 (+VAT) but, like the chap before said, the gallery will want to make some money and, although it's very early days, it does seem like Russ' star is rising right now.

NEW BYROGLYPHICS WORK AT RED PROPELLER, by Pupster on Jul 9, 2008 10:03:52 GMT 1, I like his work... Few bits n bobs on ebay currently. Would value members opinions - Is £125 for an A/P of his work a little steep or good value?

NEW BYROGLYPHICS WORK AT RED PROPELLER, by My Name is Frank on Jul 9, 2008 13:23:54 GMT 1, Got myself a VIOLIUM last night. The guy is a very talented artist. Came to £111 in total. Maybe a little steep but I remember paying almost that back in the day for a Habitat print that 1million other people could have on their walls. Signed edition of 20 can't be sniffed at, and its a very decent size. But most importantly, I really like it. Will say more when it arrives.

NEW BYROGLYPHICS WORK AT RED PROPELLER, by My Name is Frank on Jul 9, 2008 13:39:24 GMT 1, I'd love to know what comes first when he starts a new piece, the "messy" bit or the face. Proof that Britain HAS actually got talent (and we don't need Simon bl**dy Cowell to tell us that!).

NEW BYROGLYPHICS WORK AT RED PROPELLER, by eyectopus on Jul 9, 2008 15:16:15 GMT 1, The Byroglypics originals are very nice. The red in Dual oscillator is class. I got the James Baker "11 Afribat Avenue" last night, was deciding on the "The brand new me" but it has sold since.

NEW BYROGLYPHICS WORK AT RED PROPELLER, by origo on Jul 9, 2008 15:55:23 GMT 1, I find James Baker´s work to be very refreshing, too many artists just jump on the wagon and make "easy" art.
I think he´s work is beautiful and payable.
