New Dolk on HMP?, by daz205 on Jul 25, 2007 13:57:46 GMT 1, i thought that gwb was about loss of innocence the balloon getting further out of the girls reach the print above gwt i think is again about the loss of innocence except it seems to be much darker and the memory of innocence is still there (chained to the teddy) its although its been taken away without the girl wanting to grow up
just my 2 pence please slate me if it means something different to you as thats what art is supposed to do create thought and disscussion, not all thoughts and discussions must agree it what the image means to you

Yeah, I think it'll look a bit off without the tag. With it along with all that grime, it looks as if it was ripped off the street and magically transferred onto canvas IMO. Very in-situ.

I don't think that there is any question over the image. But the tag is what is dividing opinion. Ask yourself if its removal would detract from it? I can see it being more effective on a street setting, but on a print, I have to agree that it is a bit too prominant.

The TAG did bother me at first, but after a while you really don't notice it that much.

Guess it largely depends on how much hype is created here and elsewhere... After a few months his other prints (and new works on canvas) are still available. I would have loved to buy the runner canvas, but I think the asking price is way too high.

Yeah the prices of the canvases are pretty high. We will see anyway, im definately going to get one
