I really liked what Obey did with Obama prints. I got one of his recent pieces listed on the Obama site. I noticed it was under the section "artists for obama." I had an idea, inspired by works of Damien Hirst. I also wanted a Hirst LSD piece but cant afford it. Anyway, I had an idea as shown below for Obama. If elected, he would be the 44th President of the US, hence the 44 dots!
I spent all last night working on it. At first I wanted to do a print, but just wasnt happy with it. I then decided a raised emboss would look cool. I worked from behind the paper and hand embossed all the dots. I ruined quite a few trial pieces. This piece came out great. Its rectangle is shape and 10x24 inches in size. Its unique. If other people want one, Ill probably do more, but they will be on larger paper.
I only want 44 Pounds for this. I will ship it flat, so shipping will cost more than a tube. Shipping to US would be 8 Pounds, to UK and Europe 11 Pounds.
If I do more, Ill probably charge a little more (Im guessing 60 Pounds), but 44 seemed appropriate for this one (almost as cheap as the run of 5000 on Obamas site; what a CrAZY bargain). Thanks for looking.

I think the ones Im doing this weekend will be 12x26 inches. the dots will be the same as the one above, two inches apart. Im thinking a three inch boarder will work well. Ill put you down for one.
Thanks for all the positve support from fellow forum members. Im now committing to doing an edition of 10 (which doesnt include the first one above). As of right now I have requests for 7 of the 10. (still waiting on some payments).
After these ten, I plan on doing one more, in a horizontal format. After that, they are done! If theres more request, I might do a screen print (flat, no emboss), but Im not planing on it. I WILL DO NO MORE hand embossed after the ones mentioned above, thats a CRazY Jake promise (since my fingers will have fallen off).
