lol - the bin has even got the cellophane wrapping on it. You wouldnt even be able to get your money back for the bin, as its now been used, so its worth less then what you paid for it.

I have to agree. There is no way that bin is an original.
I can't be sure about the stencil but that bin definately appears to be a cheap knock off of a classic stainless steel model.

Clearly you can see the tube. So I would say it is a simple blown-up bin... sorry to say.

The bin looks like it was wiped or cleaned prior to spraying, from what i see, Robin doesnt do that now or ever, it would seem to me that the dirtier, the grimier the bin would be, would be why he would add something to it to give it color, life and meaning. Now does he put a rat on something without a message? whats the message here? a violin? whats the brand of the bin? location at time of spraying? any documented proof of such bin in a mag, website or book?
just roll that bin into the back of the flat and talk all the shit you want when company comes over....

But this is a serious issue. I can imagine buying a bin like this and discovering years later that I was duped into buying a replica at over the odds prices or perhaps even a damaged bin that had been restored. I'd feel so stupid 
Best advice is not to go near this bin unless it has a receipt from a reputable DIY store and solid provenance. Buyers beware...

It might be worth having a look in your loft as well see if there's any vases up there that are worth getting valued.

I am making a text service and website as we speak called Bin Control. You text me the make and model and various photos of the bin and i let you know any information regarding accidents, insurance claims, and previous owners. Theres a small charge of 4.99 a text but i consider this service to be invaluable. I will also, for an extra £50 provide a COA for the bin to make resale easier.
