Paul Insect Folio at POW - 4th Nov, by saint on Oct 28, 2010 11:16:52 GMT 1, Next week sees a brand new type of venture in conjunction with Paul Insect - weโve produced our first folio. No we didnโt know what that meant either. Basically it's a hand printed box that contains a set of A3 sized prints, a photographic zine and a beautiful hand made book. It's so good it even has its own launch party. Join us next Thursday at POW from 6pm where there'll be lots of art-type extras available on the night.
Show Opens: 4th November 6pm - 9pm
POW Print Rooms: 46 - 48 Commercial St. London

I'm quite glad to see a revival/reinterpretation of a few older themes and like the rawness of these, although I'm sure the price will put me off.

If the Sickboy POW book set is any indication on pricing I would say that the Insect one will be no less than ยฃ400 perhaps?

I dunno why anyone would want him to keep knocking out variations of Star Eyes...
Yes it was a nice print, but if you like Star Eyes pick one up, otherwise lets see an artist move on.
(and in doing so not being accused of being lazy/going stale)

Anyway, my point was not that insect should knock off a series of star eye prints, just that these are nasty, dirty, raw prints that wouldn't make my wall.
But each to their own.

I've looked at 'em a few times and keep thinking about buying, but then something else always catches my eye. Might consider again if I can't find enough loose change down the back of the sofa for this new release from POW next week
