I've really fallen in love with something that came out of the blue, otherwise there's no way I'd be selling it. Some more details:
The head is made of solid resin so it's very solid and pretty heavy. It's definitely one of the most talked about pieces in my collection and always gets an immediate 'wow' from visitors.
Approximate dimensions are 65cm tall, 50cm wide and 32cm deep. It's signed and dated on the reverse.
The piece was originally exhibited at New Image Art in LA at BAST's seminal Devilwood show in August 2007. However, it was not for sale at that time as the artist wanted to keep it along with the other 3 different trophy heads that were produced.
It was subsequently exhibited again at Bast's solo show called Nose Candy at Brooklynite; it was their inaugural show in June 2008. Again, the trophy heads were not for sale. However, a week or so into the show I got a call from Rae to let me know that Bast had finally agreed to let it go and I was given first option to buy it, having pursued it since the Devilwood show. Consequently the piece has a Booklynite COA and is registered in my name, which I'm sure can be changed with the gallery.
I'm not looking to make any money on this and anyone who tried to buy work from the recent Laz show should be pleasantly surprised with the price. PM me if you are interested and would like to discuss it further.
The only trade I would consider is a Banksy print and I would sell the trade straight away.
I've taken some photos so you can see the details including how it's been painted and the bling jewelry it has on its ears and teeth:

A shrine, or lodge if you will that houses trophies of monsters whose ancestors came from Hollywood while they themselves roamed the streets of Brooklyn. Imagine if Flava Flav revived the role of the Wolfman circa 1940? Or Biz Markie donned the costume of the Creature from the Black Lagoon? Then imagine them shot dead, stuffed and mounted on walls with their 'bling' on display for all to see. BAST incorporates three-dimensional pieces often in this collection of work; using found objects to create weaponry, adding embellishments to his monster lodge props and even reserving a private room for his own take on Entomology.
