Longtime lurker, first post.
Read the site daily. Better than reading the news, that's for sure.
Went to the Bedtime Stories show with the wifey. Encouraged to pick up a set of blocks as a momento and lucky enough to get through.
Now none of the excuses: 'needing funds to buy something else/no space on the wall (shelf)/never going to see the light of day.' Honestly, I saw there's interest in the blocks and first ebay sale and decided I'd be willing to trade for a Slink I've been hoping to buy. (Newborn twins = all extra $$ goes to formula) I'd be willing to add cash for the right trade. (On a related note, if you have a Slink but no interest in the blocks I absolutely will sell them to fund that purchase. Please see below for my interests)
Already have or have no interest in: Mini Prints, Office Politics, For Sale, Big Bad City, D&T . But if you have Last Kiss, Graffiti or other, pls feel free to PM.
As you probably know, blocks haven't been delivered yet. But I got through immediately as the site went live, so it's possible the set # is quite low, should that matter to you.
I'm located in the states, but have an account on the bay with 100% positive feedback, as well as friends in London, in case a face-to-face is preferred.

Doubt though that anyone here will be willing to pay anywhere near $500 for those blocks which is just nothing less than reasonable.

i'm not looking to make enemies, but seriously? as far as my post, as stated: i've been hoping to pick up a slink for a while and my intentions was to hope and find someone who was looking to trade with me. last kiss sold for a buck and a half, should I expect someone to sell it to me for that? it's something i want more. not that i feel guilty or need to prove anything, but i've got plenty of offers to sell them already.
there's plenty of bad feelings about people getting prints/not getting prints/flipping prints. and plenty of excuses too for selling... this board is full of people explaining WHY they're selling a print for fear of backlash, like if the reason isn't good enough, the community will come down on them. as far as i'm concerned, if you're not selling the print for what you paid for it, then don't get on your perch and chirp, whether it's 1 day or 1 year. but that's rarely the case, huh? and honestly, i don't really care what a guy does with his stuff, it's not my business. you can just as easily lose money if you want to play the game, it's your own risk to take. i'm looking to trade it dude and maybe two people end up with something they prefer. i actually thought i was participating in a way for which the board was created.

In hindsight, I'd sooner that people just came out and made a straight statement 'I've bought this, it's now more valuable than what I paid and so on' rather than 'my wife doesn't like it' or any other bullshit, so on that basis good luck to you.
I don't think that you could've readily foreseen the position you've found yourself in (luck?).
Its the people who buy and sell as a matter of routine, one day claiming to love the artist and the next it's for sale who piss me off.
And I wish you all the best with the sale - they're yours and therefore you can do what you want with them but it was a strange introduction let's face it.

I agree with the above statement, Nelly Duff recommended me this website and it just seems to be wannabe brokers trying to earn a quick buck and not about the art.

your first comment was certainly a fair play. and perhaps even an intro 2 years ago might have been a more appropriate first post. although i'm a strong enthusiast, i'm not nearly as well versed as the rest of the community. just of the mind that if you don't have anything of value to add...
so that's why i'm essentially not a poster.
as far as the formula goes, we're doing half/half. it's just a necessity with the twins. wouldn't hardly have a minute free to wait for art releases otherwise ;D.
