Both Coke & Pepsi avoided doing business with Israel initially. It wasn't until 1966 that Coke fully entered the Israeli market & 1992 before Pepsi followed suit. This was because of fears of a boycott from the Arab league.
As a result of Pepsi's late entry into Israel, Coke is sometimes seen as "for Jews" and Pepsi "for Arabs".

Britain messed up the region, but certainly didn't create Israel. It was forced on Britain, and the Palestinians, by the UN, US and Jewish resistance groups (Stern gang, etc).
Britain was actually kicked out of the region!
