Vandal Airways Framing, by bobbyt23 on Apr 30, 2008 23:06:19 GMT 1, speaking to the point of white frames, i am a new convert, they are awesome and allow the print to really pop. also, i must add that in my opinion, you'd be crazy to cover up the edition # and signature, not to mention the killer black rat presss blindstamp and the beautiful deckled edge of the paper... so obviously, my suggestion is to float it. peace.
The only problem for me on this is the white border is quite large and the blind stamp is right in the corner. I like blind stamps but wouldn't want that much border on show.

I am not convinced by the 'keep the signature and edition number on display'. I have it on display on some but surely the 'image' is the important thing. If the print had a title then I could understand keeping that on display. What do people have such strong feeling about the signature being displayed? I have some signed and some unsigned - bar myself, the only people that see them would not realise that some are 'missing a signature'.

I'm sure some will say that the frame detracts from the art. I think it enhances it - and it is probably one of the best frame jobs I have ever seen. Congratulations!

I've yet to get mine framed but very tempted with the same idea if he'll do it again? love it, a well paid off gamble, great idea!

It wasn't crazy expensive but putting the paint on takes a bit of work I think so drop him a PM or e-mail and he'll give you a quote(I think it depends on where you are based too).
He's a great guy to deal with and really knows his stuff.
