politicians are just what they are - generally trained debaters - many are just lawyers who practice arguing any
side of a matter - right or wrong does not matter... they still often act and speak as if they are still on their college debate teams... some "argue" more passionately than others - but in many cases it's just the art of debating....
need more scientists, engineers, builders, visionaries etc. in government - to really represent the people and the future... too many lawyers in government which is not representative of the people...

I agree but I think the bigger issue is how big a role money plays in politics. It is the corporations that dictate policy through donations and lobbying. Until that changes e are pretty much screwed.
