portfolio big enough for Choose Your Weapon?, by lebanksi on Dec 21, 2010 15:53:01 GMT 1, Including the border, Banksy's Choose your weapon comes in at 70 x 70cm. This is too big for an A1 portfolio. Can anyone point me in the direction of a portfolio big enough to store it? Can't find anything bigger than A1.

Actually, I have the same dilemma, so it remains in the tube for the time being!
I thought it was 60x60cm?!

portfolio big enough for Choose Your Weapon?, by lebanksi on Dec 21, 2010 16:12:30 GMT 1, It has a 5cm border making the total size 70 x 70 cm, measured it myself!
Thanks for the link debaser, those sleeves look good, but it doesnt look like you can buy a folder or portfolio to store them in. I didn't actually realise paper size went up to A0. However £90 for a massively oversized folder doesn't seem ideal either! Any other options?

Unfortunetely I'm in rented accomodation and can't put stuff up on the walls. Could just get it in a frame anyway but wanted to explore other options. A portfolio would be nice as I have a couple of other prints kicking around in tubes.

portfolio big enough for Choose Your Weapon?, by hlarmy on Dec 21, 2010 16:17:22 GMT 1, Good thread this one - I have this bleedin problem all the time - I don't want to get one of those huge cupboards with draws to keep the few large prints I have so what are my other options. I want something quite sturdy that will fit up to about 10 / 20 large prints and something that offers some decent protection for what's stored inside.
All / any advise welcome ...

The sleeves are as good as they get, museum standard. They can be stored up right, no need for a portfolio.

Oh ok, maybe this would work then. Can I buy them individually or is there a minimum order? Also which type is best, Classic, Regular or Deluxe?

I'm actually very tempted by this - I have bought a number of A0 sleeves and the ones I have although quite strong bend a lot and don't offer much protection. I have a few prints (JR Favela and Neate to name a few) that don't fit in a regular sized portfolio A1 so personally think this would be a wise investment. Anyone care to agree / disagree???

I seem to recall a minimum order of 10, but I'm sure there are a few people here that need them, it shouldn't be too difficult to find someone to split the costs. Good luck
Edit, if you needed to store the selwyn sleeves flat something like this would do the job perfectly well.

portfolio big enough for Choose Your Weapon?, by mmmike on Dec 21, 2010 16:56:32 GMT 1, What a pain in the... Why would you go spend more money to store this sheet of paper with ink? Just return the print. Not sure if POW will do a refund so I'll take them off your hands, but then you will owe me one.
No need to thank me just send your prints my way. I will take care of them.

What's your address?
On a serious note, I like to wait a few months to get inspiration from others as to how to frame it Plus, CYW is a little way down the 'to be framed' list at this moment in time!
