Dran โข Learning To Fly, by Coach on Jul 14, 2014 20:35:40 GMT 1, What is to stop someone from just stamping their own un-stamped Barcode/Golf Sale before selling? I'm assuming that isn't on the COA?
Most probably fear that you f**k it up and ruin an otherwise perfectly good banksy print! And honesty.

Dran โข Learning To Fly, by Deleted on Jul 14, 2014 20:42:50 GMT 1, Most probably fear that you f**k it up and ruin an otherwise perfectly good babksy print! And honesty. Best answer. I could easily see the presence of the stamp increasing the value of the print, so could also see a nefarious seller stamping his/hers to get some extra cash. Was curious if there were any set precautions; they should just put it on the COA.

Dran โข Learning To Fly, by Deleted on Jul 14, 2014 20:51:23 GMT 1, I don't think itake any difference in price it's just nice if you have one.... Barcode and golf sale had them did some Rude Coppers? And did any other prints have them? Saying that it's nice to have one sort of acknowledges that it would make a difference in price, IMO (and explains the difference).
It's like if you were running an art gallery and had two Golf Sales next to each other, and one had a stamp, you'd probably list the stamped one at a slightly higher price just because you know people would prefer it more.

IMO it's like a low number nice to have but more valuable.

Dran โข Learning To Fly, by beenrhymin on Jul 14, 2014 22:41:10 GMT 1, not trying to be rude here, simply considering buying this (making an offer) but cant seem to arrive at the same valuation. I've only seen the U/S barcode come up to auction once and that was in November (obviously post BOTI) and it made 6,500 USD (3,800 gbp), have these been trading that much higher privately? can someone shed some light on this for me?

Banksy prices have scaled upwards since November last year, and also a more recent shift upwards due in part to Sotheby event.

Dran โข Learning To Fly, by wolv212 on Jul 15, 2014 0:05:22 GMT 1, If I'm recalling correctly, an u/s Barcode went for mid-4k GBP back in May on the forum (member priced it to sell fast) and a couple since then have been in the low 5k's.
Personally, I'm a big fan of the stamp for the u/s version. Adds a very distinct mark and a bit of fun contrast to an otherwise b/w print. I've seen signed versions with the stamp and I feel if it's too close to the sig, it's a bit too busy looking for my liking.
