Need Help: Faile Live Brighton Beach or Stilletos, by Brushstrokes 75 on Jan 10, 2011 18:03:58 GMT 1, As some of you may know, I unfortunately received a damaged Launch Tonigth. Due to the fact that Faile don't have any left. They offered me 2 options, replacement for Brighton beach or stilletos or a refund.
Does anyone have one or more than the Faile latest release. What do you think of them in the flesh?
Photos sometimes aren't enough to really feel the pieces!

I took some detailed pics when it first arrived and posted them on the forum... I'll see if I can dig them out.

I will add to the decision-making process, as other have said, in person they are astounding, and either one will brighten up a wall. Brushstrokes, you could almost flip a coin and be happy, in my opinion.

I just know that I don't want a refund that's why I was asking what's the feeling in the flesh as I know that a pic of my launch tonight don't really do justice..

Maybe in the end it comes down to color? But, if it's any consolation, there are worse problems to have, and I truly think you can't pick a "wrong" one between these two.

Why not go for the refund and then buy another launch tonight? I have seen at least two come up for sale at cost. i'm sure you won't have to pay much more than that. I really like a lot of Faile stuff but it doesn't seem to keep its value well. That is a good thing if you are a buyer.

my dilemma too! Was offered the other prints but Launch Tonight was my favourite. Just been informed that I may have to send proof of it being destroyed rather than returning it. I may have to get the missus to do the deed if it comes to it!!

All three releases are sublime and superbly priced, my fav's are Brighton Beach, Launch then Stilettos.
Pcant's framing looks the mutts btw - first class.

Wouldnt it be enough to cut off the corner with the print number on it, and post that back to them? Up to Faile I guess.

...you know, at the risk of sounding flippant, it pretty much did come down to colour in my case.
The Mrs wasn't keen on an image of somebody brandishing a flick-knife on the wall (kids), so it was between 'Launch..' and 'Brighton Beach', had both in the basket and decided I couldn't live with a predominantly pink print on the wall (actually, I wasn't keen on the typography either if I'm honest)

Hey, color and typeface are both elements of what makes it art, and what we then connect to. Makes perfect sense to me. Look at CYW, for example. There are certainly colors in that release I would treasure more than others, and some I'm not sure I'd even want on my wall (and no, don't have one, not paying silly money for one either).
