NEW BANKSY 'Queue Jumping Grey' Choose Your Weapon, by rottenredrooster on Dec 18, 2010 0:16:43 GMT 1, wrong, you only know that it is grey and no where in the email does it say that it is an edition of 58. I know because i received the email also & the number I was allocated and payed for also on Tuesday was higher than 58. Please check your emails for the word 'warm' copied from the email: Banksy has created an edition of 58 x 'Choose Your Weapon' prints in what he describes as queue-jumping grey. This is a different tone than the main release.
I too can confirm that this was said in the email.

Who started calling it warm grey anyway... Its got it's own name from banksy as above.
Im guessing if the print you checked out with was just called grey then its not queue jumping grey. Im sure everyone will see pics soon enough

I believe Streetartnews or whatever the link that was posted in the original CYW thread called it 'warm grey'.

You've probably got the edition of 100 as the emails for the queue jumping version were sent out stating that it was an edition 58 etc.

Bloody Hell! You must be one of the most ungrateful recipients of one of these lovely prints ever. Sleep tight!

Everyone has said it's an edition of 25. POW haven't said anything about it as far as I'm aware though.

Just thought as these were 'specials' they may have been even more limited.

NEW BANKSY 'Queue Jumping Grey' Choose Your Weapon, by St. Art Gallery on Dec 18, 2010 10:27:41 GMT 1, I have been trying to to buy a Banksy print from POW for years now and I have never been able to even refuse one !
I'll be waiting for the "Collectors who have been trying for years to buy a Banksy print, but haven't been able to even refuse a print" edition. I wonder what the size of this edition will be !
I cannot even express how frustrating it is trying for years to buy a print and not even coming close to it. Also very frustrating is never receiving an answer from POW every time when I write them after an other for me disappointing release. They don't even care because otherwise they would answer my e-mails (although I am sure they get a lot of e-mails from people). In my opinion they should answer all e-mails because everyone is a possible customer and without customers they will be out of business.
Over the last years I have bought several prints from POW but now I am seriously considering not to buy from them anymore because of the way they tread their customers.
Releasing an other edition is no solution. They should really reconsider how they release Banksy prints in the future. I already suggested before everyone interestet should be registering in person with a copy of their ID and overseas buyers can register by e-mail or fax with double ID. This way you can keep track of previous buyers and I think there will be less flipping because it is harder to get your hands on an ID rather than on e-mail adresses or each time join/jump the que.

i think we need to be realistic here, no matter what POW do there will always be disappointed people out there. i've missed the online bunfights (and got lucky too), i've entered lotteries, i've queued and in every instance i've been disappointed. this is life, far more people wish to buy than there are prints to go round.
i applaud POW for doing something to try and rectify the complete shambles of a queue last week but by having the onus on those who shout loudest getting compensated they've completely alienated a lot of equally disappointed, less vocal buyers.
the game is up, too many people are aware of the ability to turn a quick buck and will take the same steps as a true fan would to secure a print how can verifying identity define one from the other? you have to take buyers at face value. one way would be POW to accept card payments only as there were flippers handing out wads of cash to patsy's who had queued on their behalf, not saying that is foolproof but could be one measure to deter widespread abuse.
it's been this way since 2006 and is only going to get worse IMHO.
