Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by eschiff on Dec 12, 2010 18:20:42 GMT 1, not to rub salt in any wounds, but waking up and seeing it still there in the flat file has just made my day (again)! I don't blame you in the slighest mate, I'd feel so smug with myself if I nabbed one.
thanks mate, not trying to be smug at all, just happy as hell and wanted to let people on here know that i reckon 'fans' (take that to mean what you will) did fairly well. I'd bet that hot pink, yellow and slate will be hard(er) to come by cause 60 of the 75 went to people in line at berwick st. Yes, i know a couple of those have been on the bay, but give it time...

I would say probably not, will perhaps be in the afternoon? That's just a guess though based on previous lotteries.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by chablis on Dec 12, 2010 19:02:46 GMT 1, Well that was fun (sarcasm ), went from my office Christmas party straight to Commercial Street in my dinner jacket (Yes, I was the idiot walking around with a bow tie). A very tough night going from hope and expectation to full on disappointment. Enough has been said about the events so I won't add to them, suffice to say it was just short of chaos.
Firstly my apologies to other queue'rs for gettin a few places ahead when the queue rushed forward as I had nothing to collect and you needed to move fast to avoid too many other people jumping in ahead.
I was heading home empty handed once the tickets ran out, when I found others trying to get a mini cab and having heard rumours of 30 missing tickets going to Soho, I thought why not, and shared a cab over to there.
Thanks to everyone for helping keep my spirits up, it was a very long night and then day. I got home so tired it was unbelievable.
The silver lining a nice 'lemon' print, I just wish those others who were in the queue alongside me that night the very best of luck in the lottery. I have say though that it was very hard won.
Later that morning, a number of us were chatting with Simon, and he asked us about that night. He was genuinely interested in what happened, assuring us that it would not happen like that again.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Con Art Studio on Dec 12, 2010 19:03:09 GMT 1, This is how I would organize it - 1. As soon as its announced online, start going up the line and take clear face on photos of the people. 2. If the line is shorter than the number of print available, stay at the end of the line and continue taking photos of people as the join. 3. When the doors open, you now have a photo record of all the people in line and in order up on a computer. 4. If your photos not on the computer, you don't get a print! No people jumping in or paying others to wait in line over night for them. Simple and Easy Much simpler solution that I mentioned earlier:
People all queue up BUT it doesn't matter what time you show up because at a specific time everyone online will be handed a raffle ticket with a number on it. Once everyone has their raffle ticket a number will be drawn and whatever number is drawn is the number the line starts at. It doesn't matter if you are first or last to get there.
This not ony prevents line jumpers but also prevents people from standing online for 12+ hours in the cold.

Thanks, it was good meeting you too. With the exception of a few obviously dodgy characters, everyone I met there was great, the spirit was great in both queues, and without compromising your own chance we all wanted the best for each other, it's a shame it went so pear shaped.

Deep black box frame, black back panel, black side fillets, and floating on 25mm deep board. Makes the whole print truly look like it's floating.... courtesy of Gary. very very nice that farming style, would love to have a Dalek abstract piece framed in that way
Would you frame my Khaki like this in the £150 offer,if so count me in.
