The best bit for me was when that pissed bloke started on you when you were sitting in your fecking chair and sleeping bag! you stood up (about a half foot taller) saying "don't look quite as small as I do when I'm sitting down do I?" Quality! He backed down immediately! Wanker!

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by boaty on Dec 12, 2010 20:53:23 GMT 1, not sure of the validity, but was just checking over on EB and they have each color listed with edition sizes: www.Expressobeans/public/detail.php/129807
not sure where the information is sourced from - but if correct, it would suggest the total prints would be 525 (17*25+100).
wonder how to get a white one?...wonder if it really exists?

I could sit down working it out by colourway, but I've got a life.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Deleted on Dec 12, 2010 21:29:30 GMT 1, This is how I would organize it - 1. As soon as its announced online, start going up the line and take clear face on photos of the people. 2. If the line is shorter than the number of print available, stay at the end of the line and continue taking photos of people as the join. 3. When the doors open, you now have a photo record of all the people in line and in order up on a computer. 4. If your photos not on the computer, you don't get a print! No people jumping in or paying others to wait in line over night for them. Simple and Easy Much simpler solution that I mentioned earlier: People all queue up BUT it doesn't matter what time you show up because at a specific time everyone online will be handed a raffle ticket with a number on it. Once everyone has their raffle ticket a number will be drawn and whatever number is drawn is the number the line starts at. It doesn't matter if you are first or last to get there. This not ony prevents line jumpers but also prevents people from standing online for 12+ hours in the cold.
Is that preferable to an online auction with different parameter to the current one?
Let's 'make' people travel from miles to achieve the same result as we could online....?

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by marto on Dec 12, 2010 21:44:16 GMT 1, Very sound advice that I was once given was never to buy a piece of art that you don't really like. I wonder how many people would actually buy a Banksy if it wasn't a Banksy? I dare say most people will claim they would, but how many of those queuing and clamoring in the last few days would have braved the cold if it hadn't been for either financial motive of kudos of owning a Banksy?
Maybe this 'nugget' is something POW should consider when thinking about how they run the next Banksy release.

Lottery is a lottery I've never one the national one either. However a q in my opinion is good with a lottery for one and all after just like NBg. I don't remember to much trouble or abuse after NBg release. We had a date a time ,you got there early, you got a number, you sat down drank some beers and end of story. Yes pow made mistaken security should of been there all night handing out numbers to stop the mass barage at the end, and police the q during the night. Many many forum members thought as they were ahead of the soho q they should be at commercial street and many members were out of order ( true colours perhaps) However in all my f5s and lotterys I never met any genuine nice forum members sitting behind my laptop The ones i qed with were both friendly and generous ( kennas +1, jasper and the other guy behind me) it was ashame you couldn't see the prints happy with mine purple is better than I thought pink is brighter and more garish than I thought and the brown one my second fav is not any more. Thanks to those I met I still owe jasper a fiver for taxi.
I agree MM, hope we get another chance to Spoon together on the street

They were there last year in the NBG queue as well. One of the cheeky sods asked Simon if he could have three raffle tickets!

Personally I reckon it'll be 11am at the earliest, then going through to the afternoon... I think I remember from Donuts that they seemed to trickle through over the day (may be wrong though!).
