Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Lord Lucas Roham on Dec 13, 2010 10:43:01 GMT 1, Just catching up on this thread as have been in NY all weekend but if I may add the following points.
a) Does it really surprise anyone that POW couldn't get their organisation in order for this release?
They are an absolute shower when it comes to distributing Banksy prints and treating there customers fairly. The usual sycophants on this board will defend them to death but ultimately most people accept that in terms of customer service they make Ryanair look professional.
b) Just because you post on this board doesn't mean you deserve a print. Stop whining.
c) The print is fucking hellish looking.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by ABC on Dec 13, 2010 10:50:43 GMT 1, ABC to you it may seem funny, to those who went through the sh!t in the Q, and did not get a print;not!
I've missed the opportunity to buy most of the prints since 2007, I used to get stressed but there are more important things in life to worry about. This market has turned nasty and could be avoided with a little attention to detail in planning but they don't care. The frenzy = PR, all PR is good.

as per POW homepage:
On Monday the computer will randomly pick 175 people to have first refusal of buying the print. We will contact you via email.
surely this isnt weighted towards any country ?

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by Deleted on Dec 13, 2010 11:03:41 GMT 1, A combination of all three, AND later arriving in time and watching my position fall very quickly (10mins) Sorry 70-100 people being paid to queue and arriving en masse to queue, sorry i didn't spend a lot of hours travelling see that happen.Very far from being alone in this though i won't name 'n shame them as i see no shame in that situation. Queue counters were very frequent and each count was 15 -20 to me.It was do nothing and end up in the 300's,go home or take action From the people i've heard who did the same and (oddly enough all being hangers rather than sellers) they too are glad they took action sorry but i cant let this go, This chap is saying it was right for him to push in! Just because he had come from far away and he is going to keep ths print. He also mentioned earlier he punched a guy a few times, I don't care in what situation you were in, Q jumping and violence isn't right YOU SHOULD HANG YOUR HEAD VERY LOW.
I don't recall CG being of a violent disposition, quite the reverse, I was under the impression that he (along with Slammer) broke up one fight where one bloke was getting set upon by four???
People who've been around might also recall when CG sold a Banksy at cost (I can't remember who to) who then turned it around on ebay the following week. Of course he's too modest to post this so I'll do it on his behalf.
This was probably around the time that you were a serial flipper Grafik under different monikers - if Webby would give his print to you then he's nuts or your mate or both.....
Greed, envy and jealousy coming through in abundance now and not exactly in keeping with the season...

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by raiden on Dec 13, 2010 11:05:59 GMT 1, what time they dropping the white ed. of 500 on the website?
Yeah, what is up with the white edition? I just realized that. My count never really included white. I assumed it was 25 total in white.
And FYI, I wasn't whining about the queue situation nor being sour grapes about it, as I never could have even hoped to be in London for such a release and was 100% planning on either winning the lottery.
I actually first ranted about a queue long before we knew there would be one. I thought it was socially irresponsible to have a queue, as I was just picturing the possibility of some old dad freezing or having a heart attack trying to get his family a Banksy. When prints were £500 and the secondary market was £1000, then people wouldn't take unnecessary risks and get all crazy about it.
Also, I still think Banksy should release at a much, much greater rate. Like at least 5 times his current rate of 500 / year.

I never said he was violent, he said he punched a chap a few times, in any circumstances, breaking up a fight or not, its pretty wrong.
its ok to push in depending on how good a chap you are seems to be the jist, if you have good intentions its ok to punch a guy.
its double standards.
Im not fussed if i get this print or not, its got beyond that stage, just want to wait to the results are out and then retire myself from this place, its so political, the higher, more worthy members grouping together to protect their reputation.

Nothing new, as stated the majority bought were destined for the bay. With such a big profit margin and in this climate, every man and his dog want some action, they couldn't give a shit about art and I don't blame them. Criminals will exploit any avenue to make money and don't care who they hurt in the process, with the flip prices it's a no brainer.
Don't get me wrong, it winds me up as much as most, I've been collecting/interested in art for 20 years+ and its not a pretty scene.

then some guys started on him for pushing in
then CG who had pushed in himself (ironic) stopped the fight against the pusher inner, whilst throwing a few punches to the guys who tried to eject the pusher inner
