At some point we’ve got to stop asking ourselves what is the meaning of everything, maybe it’s not so very important what it means. It’s probably more important what the sense of it is.. they are two very basic and different things.
Art shouldn't be something that you go quietly into an art gallery and dip your forelock and say 'I have to be very quiet, I'm in here amongst the art.' It's here, art's everywhere. It's how you use your eyes. It's about the enjoyment of visual things. And it's certainly not for any one group of people.
There are not only more people collecting, there are more people collecting for the wrong reasons, basically as the latest get rich quick scheme. They buy art like lottery tickets.

I had a torrid time on friday - queued for 6 hours in Berwick St, then disappeared back to work (for the toilet and a quick cuppa) and returned to find everyone vanished. Got my bag and sleeping bag nicked too.
It would be nice if POW printed up some unsigned versions at a cheaper price to compensate those who were affected by unfairness on friday night.

How would they work out who were and who weren't affected. Virtually impossible to do and yet again people will miss out and the moaning, scathing, bitching, bitterness and twistedness would continue.

However, if a complaint was registered with them the day of the sale in person, and they took your details so that they could cross check it against an e-mail, then it wouldn't be outside the realms of possibility that they could have been taken care of reasonably fairly.

I would imagine that there is very few people that queued all night and ended up with nothing. Say 240 in the POW queue, first 120 got one, then 60 of the remaining 120 got one from Berwick. of the remaining 60 some may have scored in lottery?!
