it also allows significantly more light to come through giving a far brighter image when framed.

Doubt you'd be able to take a portfolio onto the plane as carry-on luggage? (have you checked?)
It'd probably have to go in the hold, like pushchairs and snowboards. In which case you need something much stronger than a portfolio.
Might be cheaper to send them all by DHL/Fed Ex, etc... Or tube them for the journey and buy a portfolio when you get there.

If you are going to cheekily value things then 3 singed banksy prints is going to worth F**k loads more in 10-20 years than 1 red cyw.

Portfolio aint gunna happen for a NBG/CYW I keep my normal 18x24" obey size prints in mahusive sleeves (A1??) and were the largest I could find anywhere actually got them from a college art dep.
My NBG/CYW are waay to big! had to get them framed for storage!
Its gunna have to be a tube job matey!
