Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by schnulli on Jan 6, 2011 22:59:08 GMT 1, Can anyone tell me where to find a portfolio big enough to store a NBG and CYW please. Im moving to Australia and want to take them on the aeroplane with me when i go. They might have to stay in the portfolio for a while until i get round to getting them framed again. Got a VLH too and some other prints so i need to store about 8 prints.
Depending on where you're going I'd check out Eckersley's or Deans Art stores. They stock lots of folios as well as Colby acid free sleeves up to A1.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by mmmike on Jan 6, 2011 23:12:24 GMT 1, I would use a tube for the trip. If you have to keep it flat or if you have to take frames on a flight I would recommend a hard bike box. I did used one to transport two framed Banksy prints. It worked well. most airlines will charge more but it was still cheaper than shipping and bulletproof. Plus they come with wheels

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by skitchy on Jan 6, 2011 23:19:23 GMT 1, By serious I mean those with plenty of ready available cash. The people that got those 1. Paid near market value for them 2. Would have no reason to sell them. Ever.
Yet another grossly uninformed statement from Jboy.
People who bought these regularly buy originals from pow and are therefore considered Vip's, I believe a handfull forum members fall under this category.
They were NOT sold at market value, I've heard from a reliable source that they were even cheaper than the standard runs!

Is there such a thing as a reliable source when it comes to info on the latest Banksy prints....? I hear everything here about the gold/silver (e.g. sold at market value, sold under 450, reserved for VIPs, reserved for POW staff and friends, they are worth their weight in gold/silver, they are hand finished, etc...) and it all seems to come from reliable sources.

Jon is spot on i'm afraid. The silver and gold editions were indeed fifteen hundred sheets. That's what the punter paid for the gold one I viewed at MFM's shop.

i'm not a keeper as such, but as a buyer on the secondary i have applied for a COA. They've been £50 for a while, although i seem to remember Nola came with the COA originally, so must be after that they started charging for it....
Personally if i had got one from source i wouldnt worry about it, you know its real, its in your name at POW, so no need for the COA unless you're gonna flog it.
