I've heard horror stories (I think there was a thread on here about damaged Banksy prints from pre-2007, with people sharing tales of blue tacking and stapling to walls) Yeah theres bound to be some bad memories, a chap I sold to told me he had a Barcode in a clip frame and his wife bought another print and wanted it put up so he took the BC out and laid it on the sofa, his wife let the dog in the back door and it run through to the living room and jumped up on the sofa, paw tore right through it, cost him £100 or so but it went straight into the bin.

The story behind this is that a couple months ago, I went on the hunt for a CYW looking for several colours.. Dark Orange being one of them...but, Lemon Yellow being the one at the top of my list.. After a couple weeks searching, and with no Lemon forthcoming, I bought the Dark Orange.. and sent it off for framing.. Lo and behold, whilst in for framing, and as witnessed on a thread on here, a Lemon Yellow came up.. so, I managed to grab it.. ( can be confirmed with seller on here )..which leaves me in the position of not wanting / being able to afford both colours.. so, need to let the Orange go. The piece is shown below, I had it framed at MFM to conservation, with Museum glass ( as I was looking to keep it!! ).. and have COA and thread of purchase.. so nothing dodgy / flippy about it.. Piece is being stored with Gary at the moment.. and will be shipped, unhung from there to the buyer. I am looking really for money, as its an expensive piece to have money tied up in or, possible signed Banksy trades with cash etc.. Not sure best way to put a price out there on this, as if put offers above, some people dont like it, ..but, was looking at offers over £13k..which is about market value.. ( ill exclude the massive 29k euro one ).. but use the previous threads as a marker.. and sure people who want one know what they are going for. By all means PM me for further pics / questions / offers. Cheers G

i have a backdoor FC and it's in really great condition - maybe it's because it's on a nicer paper stock than some of the others?

From what I've heard, like 1/3 of the pre-2004 prints are destroyed, and a fair share have creases/damage/etc. People didn't know what they had - they'd staple them to walls, throw them away when they were tired of the image, etc.
Explains why you see so few of them up for sale (like when's the last time you saw a signed Pulp Fiction or HMV for sale?)
I guess Mary stays intact since it went unsold for a while, and probably got snatched up once people knew what they had.

Things happen for a reason. the timing is incredible, as I am getting commitment moneys for selling equity in my IP. if it wasn't for this company wanting to buy a majority share, i wouldn't be in this position. I never thought i could afford, but most importantly, never thought i would ever actually buy anything the expensive outside of my house.

I like the CYW. whats not to like about Banksy and Haring? and if it is the rarest of all prints, then why not try to get both right? If I can its all about the laugh now and the CYW Silver. I like that one better that the white. the silver version. the flake in the paint is fucking sick!!!!

With banks, i don't care about losing value. my friends say i am crazy. as long as i get a hook up on price. i am fine. if a bottom drops out, i will have time to drop with enough warning, to still get double my money back. IF I WERE TO SELL THEM TO BEGIN WITH.
im crazy like that. i honestly love the art, the message, the images... its worth to me now, how could it not be worth it later, to me? If i am going to pay over 500 bucks american i better like it a lot. if its over 2500 i better love it, period!
