Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by bert on Dec 11, 2010 12:48:58 GMT 1, Was out getting wasted last night and just woke up - sounds like a big s**t storm. Gutted for those that had a massive trek and lost out to punks jumping the queue. Well done to those that survived the bun fight and got their mitts on one, loving the different colours for this release and the supported cause cheered me up too.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by naughtyshorty on Dec 11, 2010 12:53:09 GMT 1, I expect the colourways are part of a long printing run and not limited to 25. There is no way they could suddenly knock up a load more prints- would have to come out of a bigger existing stock. Looking forward to hearing as it unfolds.

as per my note just now on the seperate colourways thread:
having checked my print (carefully ) just now the colourways are signed (in matching ink colour) and numbered out of /25
hope this helps,

Just souds like a normal night in Wakefield to me. I shall face the usual lottery. Like a lot of people, have only been successful once, when I queued up at the open day for VLH. Still enjoying Nico by the way.

You should take a long hard look at yourselves POW... making a load of decent folk have a night of abject misery/cold/threatened violence for the sake of creatg a bit of hype, because let's face it, that's all this has been about. There was absolutely nothing stopping people in either shop coming out and letting people know what was going on... and for them to randomly shout out 'tickets' at the last minute wiping out the chances of all the legitimate queuers is unforgivable.
My advice to anyone is to go and get some sleep you will feel alot better. Laz pulled the same stunt a few years ago. Terrible. BRP seem to know how to handle it better.
I would suggest you write and complain - keep it brief and polite. You never know they might do the right thing. Best of luck.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by St. Art Gallery on Dec 11, 2010 13:15:36 GMT 1, Hi all,
Besides running St. Art Gallery I am a collector myself (how surprising). Because I am based in The Netherlands I have not yet been able to buy a Banksy print at the release.
I really love this print because I also have the original Keith haring Barking Dog print from the Icons series and I would love to hang that one together with the Choose Your Weapon print.
It is also a great piece because it's about two of the greatest street artists from different generations and Banksy not afraid to use the Keith Haring image and which he has done very well.
If anyone would like to sell his/her print for a reasonable price please pm me. I am also willing to consider a trade for one of our pieces from the gallery (www.st-artgallery.com).

Nicked from the web (prob have to pay royalties on that now).
Royalties are sums paid to a creator or a participant in an artistic work, based on individual sales of the work. In order to receive royalties, the work must generally receive a copyright or patent. As well, often the amount of royalties received is negotiated by contract.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by mlavoie on Dec 11, 2010 13:24:19 GMT 1, Long time lurker here from the US. Been watching this thread for days. It's a shame what happens when people decide to jump the queue. I am sorry to hear that so many collectors got screwed and are disappointed.
What I don't understand is why the queue was not self policed. When a queue jumper decides to jump the queue, someone needs to publicly call him / her out, and everyone behind that line jumper needs to speak up.

I know, but I can at least try. Perhaps to offer a trade will work because we have some nice pieces in stock which people have not discovered yet.

Yeah, so whats that about?
When I went to bed, people that had been waiting at Berwick Street had moved to POW as that was where the website said the release was going to be. So later after those people had gone? did they then do a release at Berwick Street? I'm confused.

Banksy • Choose Your Weapon Print, by grafik on Dec 11, 2010 13:27:58 GMT 1, the people who jumped the Q were often big lads in groups, or they were single guys moving in to join groups of friends. stay and talk for a while then just stay.
then after 5am there was no order, it was a free for all with everyone rushing forward, no Q, just a scrum.
there were fights because of this.
