JR Women are Heros - Book Condition, by gwenie on Jan 9, 2011 1:59:39 GMT 1, I picked up my JR book from Laz on Friday (the stamped 75 Edition). It was frayed and bashed on the edges of the cover. When I pointed that out, I was told that is how they are. Really? Does everyone have a bashed / frayed JR book?

Thanks, I thought that simply doesn't sound right - I have never bought a book in that condition.

Mine (ed. of 75) has some "ripped" lines on the sides of the 3 pastings used, but also some wear on the surface. Since the pasting material used is extremely fragile, I guess anyone reading thus without gloves and the utmost care, is likely to give it some wear.
I was uneasy about that, too, but now keep the book wrapped in a plastic sleeve.
If anyone really wants to read it more than once, I recommend the cheaper standard version!

Saying that my cover is neatly folded along the edges with just the spine an open edge.
Love it one of the best artworks I own.

Does anyone know how to determine which number you have? I got two books (one for me, and one as a present for a friend about to become an art teacher), and can't figure out which number is which?

My book has slight fraying and extra bits pasted over the images, just the way they are and add to their uniqueness.
