It is a beautiful and massive (125X100) piece of art that I was really looking forward to receive and frame but unfortunately it has some 'extra artwork' that really ruined the print and I will never have this framed...
The gallery 'signed' the print in blue mark pen...
This can't be even croped out because on the left side is DV signature.

Why on earth didn't they write it on the back? Such a shame they felt the need to ruin what would have been a great print and fantastic prize. Bitter taste!

This point remains, you have a one of kind, hand signed David Walker print that is truely unique. you was a deserved winner and we feel this is still a great prize. if you are that unhappy then i suggest you sell it and fill the void with another work.
How many people have actually seen a real 'proof' ? with notes and comments? they are truely rare and highly collectable.

It is desirable to have one of a kind signed printer proof, but to have a work written with 'not for resale' and signed 'squarity.com' on blue mark pen really ruined the work and that is something not nice to display as part of an art collection.
At the moment I don't know what to do with this work as I wanted it framed and displayed, but not like this. I will, of course, not follow your suggestion to sell it as, even if I wanted to (what I don't), I doubt someone would value a work with this particular inscriptions.

David Walker ๐ฌ๐ง Street Art Portraits โข Graffiti Portrait, by Squarity on Feb 15, 2011 18:33:33 GMT 1, The print was a giveaway, post and packaging alone cost ยฃ55, the print proof cost around ยฃ40-60 to produce and as i worked very closely with David on this print, it is in my interest as a publisher and David's as an artist, that this print did not end up being sold, hence it was marked on the front as proof, because we never intended to sell it, the fact we gave it away means that whoever ended up with it has a piece of the creative process and David's print making history. we could have wrote on the back in hindsight, yes but then this may look like it was planned and it was not. David and squarity decided to 'give away' a piece and that is what we did.
