For Sale: Choose Your Weapon (Slate), by Deleted on Jan 29, 2011 0:29:48 GMT 1, Guess I'm just pointing out that if POW are that worried about flipping, they should go after the big players, rather than worrying about the odd person who has a decent deal present itself and just can't resist.

For Sale: Choose Your Weapon (Slate), by hlarmy on Jan 29, 2011 0:33:28 GMT 1, Looks like it sold anyhow. yeah really who paid 4950? good for them!
Ha, it was a guy called 'hlarmy' with the email address wilfsboy**@yahoo.com...
I have no idea who this is, is it Don and who is this chap (isn't he the guy that sold his red CYW for c.£7k a few weeks ago and was boasting about it everyone?)
I'm done with this, perhaps it was a bit stupid of me to consider selling this so publicly. I just got caught up with the excitement of having my dream print within reach. Over and out

smacks of hypocrisy to me - just because the guy has a few friends on here - its ok for him to trade up? People who have their mortgages or crack addictions or other vices have just as much a legitimate argument to flip - as HLarmy, however because they dont have their "pals" sticking up for them, they get slaughtered, tagged as flippers or called worst things.
He should be privileged that he was given the opportunity to buy a signed Banksy from source at cost, as it wasn't too long ago when he used to b**ch and moan about how he would love to buy from source. Now he has, whats the immediate thing for him to do - flip it.

What a ridiculous post JV, for example:
1. you sound like it's a sin to want to trade up. Isn't that the name of the game?!
2. from where I was standing I wasn't 'given the opportunity' to buy from source. I made it happen, unlike many on here. I dropped what I was doing, missed a very important do on the off chance there was going to be a release, I spent a lot travelling to London and then spent a night on the street, never with the intention of selling it - in fact, if you ask Slammer for example, it was only last weekend that I was talking to him about how I was going to frame it.
3. I have never 'b**ched and moaned' about how I would love to buy from source; why would I do that when I've been lucky enough to buy from source for the past 4 years. You're thinking about the wrong person again JV.
I don't understand why some people on here, namely you and Don / Wilfsboy / artsmybag seem to get far more of a kick acting the mob and hurling abuse at people that talking about art etc. It's beyond me; there are far more important things in life than getting upset about such things JV, trust me
