Paul Insect, by caughtbythefuzz on Jan 13, 2011 7:26:02 GMT 1, So Paul Insect's 'Dead Elvis' screenprint/canvas didn't sell at Bonhams the other day. Those skulls in the charity Dreweats auction didn't sell. The Banksy collaborating, Laz hanging, favourite of Hirst and Spacey, Paul Insect.
He spends so much time working on other projects with his street art buddies that he forgot about his own career. A few yearly releases from POW, a very expensive book, the standout piece from the Hells show, and a couple of very good street pieces in London a year ago... other than that nothing. His last show was in San Fran a few years ago but that was just a rehash of his London show prior to that.
He is a talented artist and it's a shame he doesn't put more stuff out there under his own name. Maybe this year will be the year of Paul Insect?
Anyone got any rare prints/originals they want to share on the forum?

I wanted that print for a looooong time. Once I got it, it didn't really do much for me.
If he really IS the Bugs in Miss Bugs, he should just focus ALL his energy in that dynamic duo.
Insects' releases lately just arent worthy.

You forgot the "IMO" in the end of all that.

I love all the stuff he came up with for his Poison show but he seems to have taken a step backwards since then. Let's hope he comes back with a killer show this year.

Paul Insect isn't Bugs; 100% definite. Although he does work on many projects. Also his work is blatantly ripped off by others. Never heard of Jack Black, maybe he is Bugs.

I really like it but understand it is not that popular. I love his Dead Sid and Dead Elvis, but it will be a while before I can afford one of those.
The Kid prints on this thread is lovely, far better than the more omnipresent Kid facial prints imo.
