I have been contacting an artist called Adam Koukoudakis recently. A Central Saint Martins Grad whose pieces are really quite amazing and VERY sardonic. I came to know about him after I kept seeing his name print in "2007 Art Names To Watch" type articles - This months ARENA for example. I contacted Adam and he was able to send a number of pics of his work. This work is nothing short of amazing and currently he has signed prints and original canvases for sale. His work was once shown at Laz and I believe if you like his stuff he will beome as big as AM within a couple of years.
Go check him out. His site is www.adamaki.com, though this site is under construction, but you get to see a "bleedin smurf" which I really love and looks beautiful on canvas. I think that if you love the Banksys, Insects, Micallefs of this world you may dig his stuff! I know that he has a number of prints ready to go and as he works out of a basement in London has all his work on memory stick ready to send out through e-mail. I simply wanted to see his work before his site went live to get the op to purchase early if I like his stuff. I am doing just that.
Send the ol man an e-mail at kookieadz@hotmail.com and i'm sure if your polite and love art you will dig the examples of work he sends. If you don't no loss, I just know that many members of this board love fresh work! I thought I would get his name out there. Tell him Danny sent you, ask about prints, ask him anything. Sound bloke.

be signed. Regarding cheeky pigs, I will do a run based on orders and will
number them as they leave the studio accordingly, but will not know the

over produced, that's not what I do. . . .the very maximum I imagine for
that would be 20 which is a small run when they are hand painted and you
consider most runs are done on a presss by a machine and tend to be of
editions of 100+

Just thought i'd let you all know that i got a mail from Adam yesterday and he said he's in touch with POW regarding a new run of prints. - Makes me think it's worth bagging a Smurf canvas after all , but ยฃ 700 is still pretty pricey especially after my recent purchases of Flying copper ,applause and napalm but it's a top print !!

After moaning about group e-mails yesterday I have decided I need to send this one out to all the crew too. It appears that there are quite a few of you out there that want to get the bleedin smurf canvas but the ยฃ700 price tag has just been too high.
Considering all the support you guyz have shown me through e-mail and sales, and considering that I am at the beginning of my career and that so many of you seem to love that piece I am dropping the price to ยฃ500.
For those of you that are already on the confirmed list at ยฃ700 you can either take the ยฃ200 drop or you can have a bigger piece for ยฃ700, so e-mail me to discuss.
At the end of the day whilst money helps I value the support you have given me more at this stage and would rather show some faith in return.
I don't consider this shooting myself in the foot, just trying to keep thingz a little bit more real under the circumstances.

I like the Bleedin Smurf and with it now being reduced to ยฃ500 it seems a really good offer considering it seems likely he will be taken on by POW. The only way I can see around this is to put my Micallef Light Angel Bomber #2 on the bay (which is currently out of a frame due to lack of space).
I prefer the image plus it is a canvas so it seems a good idea. Any thoughts? Or offers for the Micallef?

anyway, that doesn't matter really, if you like it more than your angel bomber it's easy enough to sell that and put your cash into the smurf. if it's future value you're interested in then it's a much tougher call.

i like the cut of his jib, as no-one says, and yes you can see clear influences in elements of his work. that doesn't mean it's to the detrement of the pieces, you could also say that many current "street" artists are hanging on banksy's coat tails if not all.
would there be such a big market for micallef prints if banksy had not previously blazed a trail?
there's plenty of room for any artist that makes you think while also putting a smile on your face in my opinion.

If you find his work derivative or not special then dont buy it.
I on the other hand really like his work and i cant wait for my bleedin smurf, cheeky fuckin pigs and too much bush, not enough hoody.

Must say I agree.. 700 quid is waaay too much for someone starting out, no representation, no overheads, no shows, no history etc etc.. you can still pick up major pieces by some very well know artists for that sort of cash.
I just bought this for 20 quid ! ;D

look, I'm not getting on my high horse either, so no worries. I'm just pained that a lot of people seem to be getting carried away with this. Okay, take cheeky coppers or whatever it's called. Has nobody seen this iconography before: Police+Clown This clash of concepts would work (*for me*) if I hadn't seen it before. many times. but i have. so it doesn't. Must say I agree.. 700 quid is waaay too much for someone starting out, no representation, no overheads, no shows, no history etc etc.. you can still pick up major pieces by some very well know artists for that sort of cash. Am I missing something? I'm affraid to say I think the bleeding smurf is poor. I think if I saw that on someone's wall I would p*ss myself. But hey, what do I know?
