In any case, I basically swore blind I loved the image (I do) and that I wont sell it on (I wont) that I was a member of the dark side and the light side (Double tick) he said - email him, reminding him of the conversation and he'd reserve me one.
I did - he replied saying Im on the list and he'd be in touch soon.
Nice ;D...hopefully

Anyone know the colours as it looks great with the red detail.
ยฃ125 is a little pricey compared to some - and no doubt some will sadly made their way onto ebay - but it would be interesting to see what the natural price of this print becomes.

Quite a few people aired their opinions and I understand, from a very reliable source, that he was banned from this forum. However, as I've said before, whenever I've bought from CampB' he has been helpful and in the case of a Blek print he gave me a really decent price. So speaking as I find, he's an alright bloke.

Unimpeded discussions and collective facts are the foundation for a well involved and long lasting forum. Life is ultimately about finding balance... and a sorting a good balance between opinion and fact, in combination with common enjoyment of a shared passion is what I believe we all spend so much time on these boards for.

I don't know how Steve Lazarides started his business but it might not be very different ..
SB were one of the first so called online galleries that sold prints for insane prices the next day they have sold out but since than we saw definitely so many more with prices twice as mad ..
.. so there is no need to be very surprised IMO

It's interesting to see the stir that Frankie's forthcoming release of this Mantis print has caused - the debate is raging on both forums.
I won't deny that there's a definite element of poacher turned game-keeper. Though, for me it comes down to this - Mantis has made the decision to release this print through CB. It's Mantis' artwork and I'm sure he's well aware of CB's pre-existing business. The fact that the artist has chosen to put his trust in CB surely says a lot about Frankie and what he's trying to achieve.
I think this is a really positive new direction for CB's business and wish him all the best.

As for the competition between both forums I post on both under the same user name. Both have their strengths (and weaknesses) and I agree with Nu that both complement each other well.
