This print was kindly donated by Peter Kennard and Cat Phillipps to the first year MA Photography students at the Royal College of Art, to enable them to offer it up for auction. As a group of artists, we are trying to raise money to enable us to produce an exhibition for the Liverpool Biennial Independents in October 2010.
The print we are auctioning is โThe Mallโ, an etching and screenprint on handmade paper. The print is number 12 of an edition of 28 and has a hand painted gold flag in the centre. The print is signed by the artists.

If you thought 'Crude Oils' was something special, Peter dropped missiles into Constable's Haywain in 1980 and instantly created a powerful anti-nuclear statement. A statement so strong that Tate have included that along with a good number of Peter's pieces in their permanent collection.
Now Peter has a new book, @earth, coming out on Mayday [01 May 2011, Tate Publishing]. It includes new works alongside pieces from his 40+ year career.
I've seen it from its inception and the images never lose their punch.
