We are extremely excited to introduce our bold and innovative upcoming exhibition Blue Murder from the notorious artist collaborative, Kennard Phillipps. The gallery will open itโs doors for one month to display the latest body of work from acclaimed artists Cat Phillipps and Peter Kennard whose compelling images have been studied for decades, and to whom Banksy was quoted as saying โI take my hat off to youโ
The exhibition investigates social decline and conservative ideologies. Images of David Cameron's face are printed repeatedly onto copies of the Financial Times in such a way that that his features slowly start to decay until his face is barely recognisable. By using poor materials, newsprint, charcoal and ink, the artistโs have ripped away at layers to reveal the โdestruction of the welfare stateโ.
A private view drinks reception will be held on the 26th April at the gallery from 6-9pm. Sponsors Bull Dog Gin and Fever-Tree will be creating an exclusive Hang-Up cocktail at the 'Bull Dog Bar'.
