KAWS Monograph book, by RPM on Feb 1, 2011 6:11:33 GMT 1, I am advised the entire 1st printing has sold out. Disappointed as I had one on backorder from Amazon since November and it never came in. If you stumble across an extra, please let me know. I refuse to pay more than the $50-60 original cost.

i also picked up some kaws keychains with my book, so it all worked out.

Be careful there. A lot of the places with 1-3 or 2-4 week wait times are not guaranteed to get them in. Hope it works out for you though.

Noted - thanks for letting me know. I'll keep the forum posted in case any other US members are considering buying.

KAWS Monograph book, by RPM on Feb 1, 2011 20:34:47 GMT 1, No word yet on whether further printings will be made available. Assume so, but then again look at all his other books.
Thanks for the link to Amazon.co.uk. I placed an order, although to be honest, not really optimistic that it will come through.
Would have ordered from Fusshop but 20GBP for shipping to the U.S. is quite ridiculous. Unless they are personally delivering the book on a pillow ...

KAWS Monograph book, by Con Art Studio on Feb 1, 2011 22:42:58 GMT 1, i think anyone who placed an order from amazon.co.uk is going to be out of luck. i came to the conclusion that this was a limited book due to the fact that i searched everywhere for it for over a month and couldn't find it anywhere. i had a bad feeling that i was not going to get the signed copy i ordered from aldrich so i figured i'd pick up a copy and bring it to aldrich and have kaws sign it in person at the reception that happened this past weekend. not one major retailer in the US had the book in stock, every site said "backordered 2-4 weeks", so i ended up ordering on from amazon.co.uk a month ago when it was in stock. since it was getting close to the aldrich reception and i still didn't have my amazon.co.uk order (which shipped on january 5th) i emailed ToyQube who had it on their site labeled as a "preorder" in the description, they emailed back and said they did in fact have a few so i went ahead and ordered one from them.
the reception at aldrich came and went, got my book signed (the book from toyqube) but still have yet to receive my order from amazon.co.uk (they told me to wait to the end of this week for it to arrive). in the meantime, amazon.com (US) went from stating backordered to no longer accepting orders and amazon.co.uk went from having it in stock to now saying backordered. i asked KAWS about the delayed spongebob print and completely forgot to ask about the book being limited.
anyway, Aldrich did have a bunch of unsigned books for sale at the museum. it's possible they all sold out while KAWS was there but it wouldn't hurt to give them a call to see if they have any to sell because now with toyqube being sold out i think it's going to be nearly impossible to find at retail cost.
here are a few photos from this past weekend:

KAWS Monograph book, by hitme on Feb 2, 2011 5:21:03 GMT 1, Update: I spoke with Rizzoli printers in NYC today and they said that the second printing of this book will be in their hands on 2/11. So I'll bet that in a few weeks, most of these vendors with "backorders" and delayed shipping times will be getting them out. I would agree with the post above that the first edition will probably be worth more longterm, whatever that's worth. It appears that the first printing was fairly limited in terms of the demand we've seen.

KAWS Monograph book, by hitme on Feb 2, 2011 17:27:48 GMT 1, Thanks for the info hitme, you work in the industry or you just call up the publisher and ask? And if you want a first printing (at full retail) it looks like dia museum might still have some.
Just called and asked. Figured if I wanted info, I'd just find out myself.

KAWS Monograph book, by skem on Feb 2, 2011 19:30:01 GMT 1, I have a signed copy of the book from Aldrich, that I would be willing to trade. I may set up a thread shortly, I would rather have limited edition MTN cans on my shelf. The ones I want are all available from overseas it seems.
