i thought the forum was about discussing things like this.
it seems people do want to post abuse about it on their forum,
as clearly the seller wont publish any comments, and if nothing else it might save someone parting with their hard earned cash if they can see the general feeling of banksy fans.
even without coa i think this would be worth something in the future as it appeared on banksy's site and they have photo's of the removal proving it is from that exact place.

It was by email so if I get a reply I will post their answer, if I don't get a reply I guess they do know, but judging by the rough cutting and damage to the corner trims it was done in a hurry and they were not aware of its removal.

This was no no means my favourite Banksy but it is about 3 mins walk from my house and I liked the way that was just there in a kind of anonymous way unlike lots of other recent Banksy works.

you make some good points, but i would like to point out a few things.
1. Two wrongs dont make a right, just because the graffiti is a crime does not justify any other crime.
2. To my knowledge paint on a building is much less malicious than stealing a fire alarm.
3. People have justification to be upset about this moron putting people in danger.
4. People should be less outraged about the stealing of street graffiti.
5. Stealing is a crime in all instances, graffiti is not always a crime.
6. People who harm others should be prosecuted, acts that harm no one in a libertarian society would not be prosecuted, i.e. Locke et.al.
Really it only depends on which ethos you subscribe to, that will draw your ire to certain actions. In this case I think we can all agree that if we were to be in that building and were endangered because of faulty fire warning systems due to the removal of the alarm we would have a case against the perpetrators of this crime. Therefore these people should be reported to the proper authorities in london and a complaint should be made by someone who lives in london. As I live in the US I cannot make a claim because I have not physically seen the damage. The best thing anyone could do is to notify the building owners and let the chips fall where they may.

The numerous examples of people keeping/reselling property attached to his work would make a conviction IN HIS CASE very difficult indeed, as in law DAMAGE = loss, and to prove in court a loss has occurred would be tough.
