Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by Black Apple Art on Feb 17, 2016 1:41:33 GMT 1, As a genuine seller, one should not even bother without a concrete COA in hand. And as a buyer, don't even think of parting with your money without the above, no matter how convincing the seller is in how genuine they think it is. Personally, if a banksy was advertised on gumtree as this was, I would also stay well away and also the immediacy of sale without COA is another alarm bell, but that's just my opinion. Some people panic with out a coa But you can sometimes get a bargain ! I bought a banksy with out coa or paper trail £1000 cheaper at the time than the market value from eBay , immediately applied to pest control , dropped the print off in person and two weeks later had coa! I should of booked in really! The way listing was described if it was a fake I could claim back through eBay and PayPal. Without documents should be lower than market value to cover the hassle of chasing up documents Have done the same for several pieces and was lucky to get COA in all instances. Some had receipts from galleries which I did a quick search of and other were complete crap shoots but after inspecting the piece and using my assessment on the seller, I deemed the risks worth it. Not a practice I recommend but I have scored incredible deals this way. Have also turned down many w out COA as well to be clear.

Not buying blindly , did as much research as I could find on the print and found the Pow embossed stamp has two different variations on the same edition! Anyone that has multiple banksy prints checked the embossed stamps

However, given the values of prints increasing over time and the amount of money changing hands, it is in your best interest to do due diligence and take your time in purchasing. A genuine seller should be patient knowing a buyer is going to to some groundwork and research before purchasing I.e. checking with PC that the seller is the actual most recent owner etc. And a buyer putting down their money without doing their research can only expect a problem somewhere down the line.

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by cmodart on Feb 17, 2016 2:44:09 GMT 1, I don't get all the interest in UNSIGNED prints. It's fools gold in my opinion - in years to come these will not be that sort after - i would rather have a morons signed than any unsigned Banksy print, even GWB! Remember what i said........... Holy fuck remember the 90s when everyone was buying that death of Superman comic for 10 times the cover price and saving every single one? Surely those will skyrocket in value one day... Oh, wait, remember the early 21st-century when everyone was buying unsigned low quality prints that were produced in high numbers for 10's of thousands of dollars, when you can buy original paintings on paper from modern masters for less money ?!? how do you make an emoticon of someone LOL.. This bun fight

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by snidleywhiplash on Feb 17, 2016 3:35:09 GMT 1, Stock pic. No COA. EBay sale reneged. Shady. Money back guarantee if COA doesnt turn up, cant ask for any more than that after you've parted with your £10k.
Problem is how long after the sale is completed you may be out of time to request your money returned. Not worth the risk as too many questions to legitimacy until that authenticity is validated

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by Goooogle Male on Feb 17, 2016 14:21:39 GMT 1, Could be the same as the Ebay listing. Interestingly the winner has 0 feedback score. Worth pointing out that the 'winner' of the eBay auction was in fact Posterbob...no surprise really...if anyone is trying to pull a fast one here, its him! He's been trolling me ever since he panicked and demanded a refund (which he got). So now he's all bitter and jaded that he didn't get a quality print for a really good price. Sad really... I'm new to the art forum and don't mingle in these circles. I'm just a fan trying to pass on a classic piece for a decent price...no harm in that!? It was a present from a friend for babysitting, when Banksy was a little known local graff artist. I honestly didn't realise I needed the print authenticating...or how long it would take or how unpleasant people would be about it! Buy it, or don't....get a life Poster Bob
Personally i'd be more inclined to believe this if your own twitter account wasn't showing you saying 'look what i've found' and linking to the ebay page, rather than saying it was you selling it yourself. Unnecessarily shady practice in my book! Also completely perplexing that if the COA was 'imminent' as you say (which must surely be if PoW have approved on email and requested payment - otherwise there would be no way of knowing how long), why you wouldn't wait to have it it in hand before advertising, as it undoubtedly increases the value - and immeasurably increases the likelihood of a successful sale.
Oddly you also say above "I honestly didn't realise I needed the print authenticating", yet every post and the ebay link mentions that you've applied for COA already, so you honestly DID know it was necessary, you just chose not to complete the process before offering for sale!
Finally, you offer a full refund 'if' COA isn't approved- which means it can't be imminent, as there wouldn't be any doubt - but yet you needed a number of days to return the deposit to posterbob. What confidence does that inspire in a purchaser who you are asking to send the full amount on the same basis. A month wait for a refund? 6 months? 12 months?
Bottom line - as I and many others have said before. Withdraw the print from sale completely. Wait till you have the actual COA in hand and then offer for sale here (once up to 50 posts) or anywhere else. Its really a very simple solution. It will make you more money and helps keep the integrity of this forum intact.

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by Poster Bob on Feb 17, 2016 15:41:31 GMT 1, They did not refund me, Paypal did. This happened after I called them and they reviewed the links and said, yes, something is wrong; you don't go and sell an unique item on a different website two days after it has already been paid for. Actually, here's the last email the cunt sent me stating outright that she intended to try and keep the money after all of the lies:
"If you place an order and pay a deposit, you have made a legally binding contract to purchase the goods, if you then change your mind you have broken the contract and must forfeit your deposit. Initially, I was inclined towards refunding this but since your rude and unnecessary tantrums I no longer feel able to do so."

The print was advertised all over the place...so what if it was advertised elsewhere...it wasn't sold to anyone else...? You are a nasty, abusive, middle aged lurker...you have nothing else in your life but to troll these sites attempting to stop us selling a print you said you would buy and then, due to your innate, paranoid attitude reported to PayPal...you didn't wait for me to reply..you just lied to PayPal..you miss out that they gave me the money back to start with until you lied again!
That is the truth. We have advertised the print for sale in all honesty, we haven't pulled a fast one on anyone...you don't actually have anything you can genuinely accuse us of other than having the advert appear in other places. The fact that you have tried to scupper us every time is testament to your lack of a life...and your bitterness at not going through with the sale and owning a really good print for a really good price!
Personally i'd be more inclined to believe this if your own twitter account wasn't showing you saying 'look what i've found' and linking to the ebay page, rather than saying it was you selling it yourself. Unnecessarily shady practice in my book!
Seriously, mate, or should I call you googlemale..? it is the default text that appears in a tweet when you click the share on Twitter button on an eBay auction..?!
I could reply to all your 'aha' points...so, if it was real..why did you say "look what I've just found.."
The bottom line is...you all use pseudonyms..why did I get an email from K JHoflinger when your name is really what...posterbob..? edward andrews..? you can have my name...i have used my nickname you can find anywhere on the web..! my name is Ana Kronschnabl! so...the act of a scammer? rant on mate!! come and visit me like you said!! but seriously..stop your sad, pointless trolling and name calling...really...c**nts should be worshiped not denigrated as seems your only aim...and like i've said before...get a life!!!

And no COA in hand, but it's on it's way, etc.
Your actions have made you look suspicious. Whether you intended to or not.

Let's all back off a little and give the lady the benefit of the doubt. We all make mistakes, don't we? Go easy on me!

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by Wilson on Feb 17, 2016 18:49:42 GMT 1, Trouble is she seems to be a bit ageist to me, speaking from a middle aged perspective.
I do agree with her point regarding lady gardens though. Except if it belongs to Bella Emberg

Sad young git..if you prefer I didn't advertise the print after it was sold...I just think PB seems to be making a post-modern, self-reflexive dog's dinner out of the whole affair!? and I thank you Kaos for your words of sense...i know there is nothing some people like more than an old-fashioned flame war...but I am not one of them...I have better things to do...in my opinion...maybe equally as sad...but my version...
I actually like to make art!? shock horror...and I will now use this platform for a bit of shameless self-promotion and send you a link to one of my recent short films...those of faint heart or nervous disposition should avoid eg PB

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by Deleted on Feb 17, 2016 22:22:52 GMT 1, They did not refund me, Paypal did. This happened after I called them and they reviewed the links and said, yes, something is wrong; you don't go and sell an unique item on a different website two days after it has already been paid for. Actually, here's the last email the c**t sent me stating outright that she intended to try and keep the money after all of the lies: "If you place an order and pay a deposit, you have made a legally binding contract to purchase the goods, if you then change your mind you have broken the contract and must forfeit your deposit. Initially, I was inclined towards refunding this but since your rude and unnecessary tantrums I no longer feel able to do so."
Out of interest what website was the print advertised on when you brought it?
