Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by djparasite on Feb 21, 2016 1:45:48 GMT 1, Gosh...what a palaver!? it's pretty simple, we have a print of 'Love is in the Air' we want to sell it and have applied for a COA but not got it yet...yup...sure we would get a much better price if we waited, but if we could wait and didn't need some cash now we wouldn't be selling it at all. If someone wants to make an offer, good, if not, no problem..I'm sure somebody will...Banksy prints seem pretty popular nowadays...

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by Lroy on Feb 21, 2016 12:56:56 GMT 1, Can mods clarify when/why the rules changed after being so heavily implemented in the first place? The rules changed last week. Daniel Silk changed them, partly because they were taking over what the mods were trying to do and with the one liners to reach 50+ The Forum should, as much as possible, self police, which on the whole it does, but if members wish it to come back or another way - let us/Dan know. the boss should change the rules every time a thing is happening : as this, no rules anymore .., Per example : Brexit and the British prime minister will make a referendum to know if dodcoquelicot ( per example ) should move away of this forum .. Hop ! A rule ... What thinks the old guard here ? Yes, why not organise a referendum ( or a paper to fill ) about ( met, per example is asking several times some modifications on the posting/delete comments , why nobody is answering him ? ) . Well, how much now for this print ? 15 k ( 10k ?! A joke ! ) sounds great .,,

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by tab1 on Feb 21, 2016 15:33:44 GMT 1, If it's banksy normal rules don't apply Well, if there is rules for some why not for another's ?! There was already these days one or two selling ( or wanted ) threads and the folks have not the 50 comments. It's not fair. Is Banksy über alles ? I don't care anyway. There is no more debate on this forum, only buy and sales. Fortunately there is the Sweetoof thread who is fun withs good guys and great pics.. Have a good night.
It's always been the case buying and selling Reading old threads from 2006 , it was all about how much profit or what other banksy print would be valued at..
Rules don't apply is more sarcasm directed to the new vip prints as if any other artist released in such a way constantly there would be a fuss

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by met on Feb 22, 2016 17:03:01 GMT 1, Can mods clarify when/why the rules changed after being so heavily implemented in the first place? The rules changed last week. Daniel Silk changed them, partly because they were taking over what the mods were trying to do and with the one liners to reach 50+ The Forum should, as much as possible, self police, which on the whole it does, but if members wish it to come back or another way - let us/Dan know. The 50-post-minimum prerequisite to selling was in my opinion a good rule worth continuing, notwithstanding occasional attempts by some individuals to circumvent it.
Regarding the "let us/Dan know" suggestion, my impression is that a decision has already been made and that's it. If there'd been genuine interest in the views of members (and those views were going to be seriously considered, without charade or pretence), then I suspect we would've been consulted about the policy U-turn before the change was actually implemented.
Query whether this is a fair assessment of the situation.

Banksy • Flower Thrower • Love is in the Air, by 11 on Feb 22, 2016 22:15:11 GMT 1, The only advice is to ensure any Banksy print has a COA - it doesn't matter what anyone has said about pictures etc - if the piece isn't registered in the current owners name and there is no COA you give it a wide berth.
The OP is Suggesting that you could save you a grand or 2 whereas all i read is you could very easily be kissing 5 or 6 grand goodbye.
As they say, when it sounds to good to be true.....

Agree about COA but not so about having to be registered in previous owners name. I have bought a number of Banksys including a couple from long standing members on here who have never had them registered in their names. Buy into the seller before you contemplate buying the print and dont be put off if it is not registered in their name.

I agree you want a reputable seller but you also want some provenance too, you should know the seller bloody well if you are prepared to take their word as for me, you might as well buy one without a coa if you have no prov. to back it up.
