Banksy Grin Reaper Print, by dill on Oct 9, 2008 18:24:56 GMT 1, Well.. it has about an hour to go, I have just rung ebay, spoken to someone, and told them I believe a criminal fraud is taking place.
I pointed out the account has been dormant for three years,
the item is potentially worth thousands,
The seller was not accepting paypal,
it was a one day listing,
and the seller couldn't write in english.
A full report is being put in, and she thanked me very much. 
I also think it is a great idea to have a seperate thread about dodgy things on ebay - so that we can direct potential victims to.
so i have just created one called "dodgy art on ebay - read before you buy".

the prices did fall.
on the availability front - well if one came up you'd probably get a fine bargain...
but then if one didn't - it'd be a different story.

I think with prices softening ppl are tending to hold on to them rather than making some £'s selling them on, but this could change if things don't pick up. I wonder if Art Republic still has the one that is on commission for sale. It was up for £8k - £9k!
