Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by lha on Sept 30, 2020 22:43:15 GMT 1, Authorised T Shirt from 2001, printed at Screen One, Stokes Croft, Bristol. The image is taken from a canvas that Banksy donated to the Easton Cowboys football team in the same year. He donated the canvas so the Cowboys could auction it to raise money for the Zapatista water programs in Mexico, the sales of the T shirts raised money also. The team and Banksy had visited Mexico and the Zapatistas in 2001 and Banksy painted a number of murals during the visit. Itโs a favourite Banksy image and having played in goal for the Cowboys in 1999/2000 it holds a personal relevance also. Made up to get hold of one, rare as hens teeth!

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by pr.yu on Oct 1, 2020 2:08:39 GMT 1, Finally found myself an Invader alias. So happy to have it on the wall. The sun is even a little smiley face tile if you look closely.
Quick and super slick transaction with a Parisian gallerist who is close enough to Invader that he called Invader's wife to see if he could replace one of the tiles prior to sending it to me (it had a slight scratch in it). You can imagine my surprise when he said he called Invader's wife. "You did what, sir?"

Very nice. Is that a Miami alias? Reminds me of one near where I used to live.

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by sasa1982 on Oct 2, 2020 21:28:30 GMT 1, These are very nice. If you like these, compare her feed to the feed of an artist called Taylor Cox. Unfortunately it seems that whatever Taylor does, Golsa will do a couple of months later. I do like Golsa and she is lovely to deal with, but once someone pointed this out to me it has put me off slightly. yes i am familiar with Taylor Cox, the style is similar but Golchini verges more on the urban side and has some nice ideas in her work which i prefer. Cox' work is a little too bathroom for me. I guess you can compare it to stencils. Stylistically the same but different directions

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by sasa1982 on Oct 2, 2020 21:36:26 GMT 1, I am very surprised to read such comments comparing Golsa Golchini to Cox. I think you have not been looking and their feeds lately... Golsa Golchini is innovating every day! from swimmers to skiers. from canvas to brushes. from cardboards to sculptures... now she is working on old artworks giving them new life. She is woking on books in 2 styles: buildings and framed books. How can you compare her with Cox?!?! I think that just thinking about comparing them, is offensive to Golsa Golchini! Also I would advise you to check the dates of the first skiers and the first brushes and then judge on who is following whom... fact are very easy to be checked!!

Thank you sl, appreciate the comment, my other half chose the frame, so will no doubt take all the glory, but Old Sausage Fingers did the hard yards.
