Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by Humble Art Collector on Mar 27, 2021 5:53:04 GMT 1, GLEO is an amazing urban artist / big mural painter from Columbia. Her paintings are always bright and colorful. I was lucky to meet her right before Covid and during the time of Covid we went through an artistic transformation and slightly modified her "core" style and techniques. The results are stunning. For our painting we gave zero guidance. She was free to paint literally anything she wanted. We talked quite a bit over the year and she initially started painting "Yosemite" national park, specifically Yosemite. Her intention was to paint a face in the sheer wall of half dome. About halfway through the painting she had to stop and head to a festival to paint a massive wall. Upon her return a lot had changed in my life with my father finding out he had a terminal condition and passing away 2 months later. Upon hearing this she decided (on her own) that she had a new vision for the painting and literally repainted the whole canvas. The result are nothing short of amazing. The pictures do not do this canvas justice. The texture and colors as stunning. I love how if you know Half Dome and if you know the original painting you can see it's shape in the new painting.
I have included a few more pictures to show the journey of the painting and to showcase her skills. If you are looking for a canvas from a crazy talented URBAN artist I cannot recommend her enough. You will not be disappointed.

Just got this picture from my framer that it's ready for pickup. Super excited. This is the second piece I have done with the red mat edge and I think for some of these pieces it really helps it pop!

Funny enough when My wife and I first met, I sent her the below article in the NYT Magazine about de Middel because de Middel's Afronaut series made me think of a project she was working on. When I sent her the Magnum sale link she chose this photo not remembering that I had sent her this article way back in the beginning of our relationship. He was the youngest member of the crew that includes OS Gemeos, Nunca, and many others. We are feeling so grateful he decided to join our collection. His works are amazing and look even more impressive in person. Keep and eye out he has 4 shows coming up (2 solo and 2 in museums). Grab a piece if you can. For us we got an OG painting, an edition sculpture, and a tag on our door....
