Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by Curley on Sept 28, 2006 16:01:23 GMT 1, Very nice collection but do you really need 3 toxic marys ? Shame they are not framed and on your walls.
Loving this thread, however i want to see a lot more on walls chaps. Otherwise it makes me think of all those poor prints in tubes gathering dust (and value).
More to life than money.

Agree 100%, this is an old photo for Insurance, actually a bit embarrassed about the TM's, originally bought one from POW, then a few months later after they'd sold out they found some more and a few love rats, too good a chance to pass up. The other is a different colourway, kind of a blue grey, it's is a signed one off print that I won in an auction with Rockaway art. A worthy cause.
The second 'Love is' came to me via buying Weston Super Mare & MQ, it was kind of a bonus for buying the other two ;D ;D ;D
Phew, justified my love

You'll probably be seeing the Think Tank at Bonhams next auction in October and it'll no doubt end up in some rich twats loft apartment or country house. If you ask me it's F**king tragic that people feel the need to rip down street art that's meant to be for everyone and try and flog it on.

I realy wish I had bought some prints as well, but this little present to my girl took all my money, down to the last coin. And we do not se it as an invetment. It is supposed to hang on that wall forever, or untill my girl finds out how much it is worth an then take it with her and leave me... ;D

Banksy... the man that crosses a thousand english classes!
(looks great on your wall btw)

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by brut on Oct 1, 2006 10:09:06 GMT 1, Hiya. If you click on the link above you will see some of the pics hanging on the walls in my house.I will post a few more pics up later. It's good to see that people are buying the works of Banksy/D*face/Cauty/Insect & others and are happy to have them on their walls & not in a cardboard tube stuck under their bed. I have a couple of prints being framed at the moment (Eine & Lucy Mclauclan),Both great prints by the way. Will post more later today & hope to see a few more pics on this site. It does remind me of through the keyhole though!! Brut.x.

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by lesroy on Oct 1, 2006 12:58:41 GMT 1, Brut, looking good matey!
I used to work for a framers and could potentially give you a little pointer... The prints look amazing as they are but on the rats and the soup can, you could make them stand out further buy using mounting card that has a coloured centre...
eg... the Soup Can could have a red or blue core to the mount, the rats could have black or red (Gangsta) or pink for the "get out while you can"
One of the guys in this thread has a blue core for his Soup Can... have a look and see what you think.
Hope you don't mind a little bit of feedback... there is no right or wrong way, and with art everyone is entitled to their opinion!
Great to have all the prints soo close to either other tho! Will you put non-banksy prints in the mix too?

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by brut on Oct 1, 2006 13:16:53 GMT 1, Hi Lesroy. Cheers for the advice on the mounts. I am about to decorate my front room & i will be mixing the remaining banksy prints i have with the various cauty, faile, nick walker, invader, eine & lucy mclauchlan prints i have. I will post the remaining images of the prints i have hanging up shorlty. The room with the bomb hugger & hmv prints in is the one i am decorating as i am fed up with the ghastly blue & yellow walls. Brut.

I think at sounds the nuts. All the ones I have seen done up in those sort of frames look good anyway. (albeit different prints) Someone on here has one in a frame they found in a junk shop...that was cool. ;D

would be perfect to echo the frame in the image.. it'd be like your own piece of conceptual art, you could photograph it and frame it again infinitly ;D
