But your right Alvington SS did have a show just before the D-Face ex which is where most sold out straight away and the pieces were very large. If you go into Stolen Space they have a massive one hanging in the office (Not for sale though) CH is having another show soon but dates are to be confirmed and wouldnt want to tread on anyones toes if you know what I mean.

I'm just in the process of sorting out my first canvas and I was thinking that at least I'll save on the framing costs, now you've got me thinking.

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by ricosg11 on Apr 13, 2007 22:07:21 GMT 1, its was under 300usd to frame. My first canvas as well. Seems as though Beejoir like real deep canvas as it was tough to find somthing that would fit it. I like it though. To me it has a classy, simple, modern look to it. Very fitting for a starving african wearing a louie pattern. Ill get some better pics tomorrow just in a rush to head out right now.

canvases are a bit more tricky to frame up, the dark wood on yours goes really well with the picture.
i love this thread its like showing off your trophy cabinet, i was crap at sport so never had any trophies to show off so this makes up for it.

This has got to be one of the most popular threads on this forum, great huge thanks to Lesroy for starting it!!
It's almost like a museum or a gallery where members can show off their prized collections! Since the old thread has reached 50 pages, I thought it might be a good idea to start a fresh thread (Part II) so that browsing and scrolling would be easier. Part I will be immortalized for all who seek inspiration - a 24/7 free-for-all gallery!
So start posting your prized pieces here for all to see!

AB - As you're planning to archive the thread. I know that this has been suggested before, but is there any way of migrating all of the images (i.e., without all the text) to a single folder? It would be awesome that have all the images of people's frame jobs in one place, without the banter in between (which is fun at the time, but tedious when looking for inspiration). Obviously, it would be nice to include the details of whose pictures they are.

I know exactly what you mean - a photos-only gallery would be a great thing to have. Often times I want to refer to a frame job that someone did, and I'll have to fish through tons of pages and text to find it.
I'll talk it over with Silky and see what I can do

I think the way you did your HATE is the best. Simple and stunning. Awesome pieces, my constipated friend!! ;D ;D ;D

thats one of the reasons i put it up
very interested to read the comments & opinions.
i've heard so many stories & all of them from people who had no obvious reason to lie? should be interesting
the HATE just had to be put in a black box frame. i think it sets it off a treat.
the pulp needed the yellow to break up the the paper & off white mount. was thinking about a black mount...maybe another time. ;D
off to bed...nu- 8-)night

Oh yes, I think a black mount outside of that thin yellow strip you have there would look killer!! Very nice!!
What are YOUR comments and opinions on the stretch Pulp anyway? How did you come across it? I know nothing about it, actually. Very curious as well!

Bacardi -- if this should go in a different thread feel free to move it
courtesy of spradio.com --- "Saintly" by CEPT i really like this image. was planning on letting the galfriend put this up in her office. need to consider that some more....
courtesy of Hollywood & Highland --- "Give Large" by Dave Kinsey this is called a "poster" but the thickness of the paper and ink is just as good as most prints. really nice image!
another Hollywood & Highland --- "Live Large" by Buff Monster this one is on pretty thick paper too and feels much more like a print than a poster.
and the last one --- "Live Large" by Florencio Zavala this one definitely looks and feels like a poster. not sure why each of the "posters" are on different types of paper. ? ? ?
