Personally, I don't see much similarity in styles, though there are the +'s in both pieces.

Did you mean to put this in the artists you might not know thread Liam? Lots of us know you and have your work in our collections! Perhaps you should bump your thread with this picture. Smashing piece by the way.

Artists You Might Not Know, by Deleted on Dec 12, 2016 16:43:14 GMT 1, I don't see a lot of mention of Presto on here. I recently discovered his work at the Vertical Gallery Winter Group show and it is pretty incredible. He's been around a while but new to me.
"Presto is a dynamic artist who seeks balance in movement and expression. Born in 1976 in Sรฃo Paulo, Brazil, he showed interest in art since childhood, collecting comics, building toys and imagining creatures. In the early '90s he was introduced to graffiti, which sparked his interest in murals and installations. He has painted in the streets since 1996, developing a colorful, imaginative, narrative and character-based style. He studied at the Carlos de Campos school, home to many renowned Brazilian street artists from Sรฃo Paulo including Alex Hornest (Onesto), Speto, and Os Gemeos. Presto often paints on aged, weathered wood and naturally rusted metals, creating a visual contrast with the clean line quality of his stylized, animation-inspired figures.
In 2007 he had his first solo show in Sรฃo Paulo and has since presented his work in New York, Tokyo, Washington, Basel, Los Angeles, London and Beijing, as well as appearing in major art collections. Having seen his work on walls in Wynwood (Miami) this past December, we immediately invited Presto to our 2-year anniversary show. This is Presto's first time showing in Chicago." - Vertical Gallery
I've really enjoyed a lot of the Brazilian street pieces that I have seen recently especially around Sรฃu Paulo. Muretz, Os Gemeos, Cranio, and Onesto have all captured my attention with their style of work and Presto seems pretty interesting as well.
Also nice that his original works are pretty affordable.

Artists You Might Not Know, by Deleted on Dec 16, 2016 1:25:43 GMT 1, Inspired by andyroo0312 and Viking Surfer
Thought I would introduce a friend of mine on here that lives in Sydney. Not exactly a street artist but has done a few pieces here and there. Most recently a collaboration with with Gillie and Marc.
"Born in America, Sydney-based Kim Leutwyler migrated to Australia in 2012. She works in a variety of media including painting, installation, ceramics, printmedia and drawing. Kim holds concurrent bachelor degrees in Studio and Art History from Arizona State University, and additionally graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Painting and Drawing degree.
Kimโs current work takes its form in paintings dealing with images of beauty, gender and Queer-identity. She has come to focus on painting as a medium because of its primarily masculine history in the western art canon. By entering into the modernist painting field Kim hopes to destabilize gender borders just as LGBTQ artists have been doing since the 70โs and earlier. Her artwork has been exhibited in multiple galleries throughout the United States and Australia.
Leutwyler's recent accolades include being selected as a finalist in the 2015 Archibald Prize, 2016 Bluethumb Art Prize, 2016 John Copes Portrait Prize and the 2016 Portia Geach Memorial Award. She recently won the Midsumma Visual Arts Guide Cover Competition, and her painting is the hero image for the 2016 LGBTQ Festival in Melbourne, Australia."
Art World Heroes and Influences:
Robert Rauschenberg Jake and Dinos Chapman Marcus Harvey Jenny Saville Kehinde Wiley Margherita Manzelli Mark Gleason Geoff Farnsworth Ben Quilty Ai Weiwei Romaine Brooks
Here are some of her works that I liked quite a bit.
2015 Archibald Prize Finalist for this one
