Banksy identity revealed - what next?, by schnulli on Jan 19, 2011 6:17:26 GMT 1, This eBay auction won't do it, but what does everyone think would be the fallout from Banksy either being properly outed, or exposing himself (ooh matron!)?
Would it mean it'd mean he'd struggle to do street work as he's no longer anonymous? Or is anonymity irrelevant?
What would happen to the value of his works?
Maybe there'd be a new direction in his work away from what we're currently seeing.

I think that it would change for him on the point that by remaining anonymous, he also keeps the sentiment of transgressing a property, "vandalizing" walls and the excitement coming from those alive.
If everyone knows who he is, I think he would never get arrested and it would be somehow just too easy.
On its prices or the value of his work, his anonimity might have hyped him some time ago but for most collectors (like people here) does it really matter?
Even if the story of Robin Gunningham was true, did it affect his market.

This is certainly the third face we can see alleged as being Banksy... Unless someone strictly identifies that guy from his eyes, that's a worthless pic...
